New shopping rules are going up for some places. One person, one cart. Only one person shopping at a time. I haven't been to town in two weeks so I don't know how things are going there. The hardware store will take phone in orders and set your items out for you. Two small businesses in town have become virtual stores. Though I'm not sure how I could buy clothing without wanting to try it on first. For shopping online for shoes or clothing it is best to start with a store chain where you are familiar with their product and are confident of the sizing. I began by ordering underpants to save me the bother of going to the store and spending time searching for the ones I wanted in my size (or hubby's).
I kept in mind the fact that I might make a mistake and made sure there was somewhere near my home where I could return or exchange anything that was not suitable.
Once I was confident I discovered that there are a lot of sale items you can buy. I have saved a lot of money by buying end of season specials. If occasionally I buy something that I really do not like when I see it, considering how cheap they usually are, I happily donate them to the Salvation Army shop. Just because something doesn't suit me doesn't mean it won't suit someone else. I bought two new tops recently from an outlet I have not used before. One suits me very well, the other less so. I am thinking I might give that one away.

Speaking of shopping, everytime I get in the senior line at some stores the cashier either points to the sign or gives me really dirty looks, happened again today at Walmart.. The man behind me said, just tell her I'm your husband of which he kept repeating the whole time we were in line, I just laughed, I just let her go with the I'm pregnant bit since it's also for the disabled and pregnant persons. Sigh. I don't always get in that line except when it looks to be the fastest way out the door.
I know some places do have times for seniors only to shop, I'm not sure exactly which stores, but, should I even bother without having to prove I'm worthy. LOL!
Hope I made someone smile with this share. It's frustrating, at times, but comical in my eyes.

I have that same problem too. I keep getting pulled over by the police and them asking me if I'm old enough to be driving.

Our little town, population around 1500, has it's first confirmed case of the virus...
Some grocery stores are increasing prices, I noticed the one I ordered from last, that some items have increased as much as a dollar...Walmart here seems to be holding prices down for now.

Demand goes up and supply goes down hence the increase. The stores here in my area have hedged up prices just a bit. Not to the point of gouging, but just enough to offset their cost(s) of obtaining goods from the suppliers who are having a hard time procuring certain staple items for restocking which they are charging more for.

For some years after we were married, folks would come to the door and ask if her mother was home. Really made her mad back then. Those who don't know her well, now, still do not believe her when she states her age. Even though she is less than a year younger than I am, it has worried me for 50 years that she will toss me to the side of the road for a younger partner!!!!! :>)
