Temps earlier this past week in the upper 60's and low 70's. Threat of strong storms with high winds, hail and possible tornadic activity tomorrow evening. Snow moving in late Monday into Tuesday with some low temps in the teens and possible single digits. How anyone can stay healthy in these radical weather changes is beyond me!!

We've reached over 7 inches of rain so far this month. Wettest April on the books for PA.
It poured down rain all day and night yesterday and again, off and on today. The creek out back has doubled in size from so much rain. Temps are suppose to drop during the night and we're to see some light snow by morning. *sigh*
Spent time outdoors, in between downpours, cleaning up a huge tree that came down in our yard. When the weather improves, it's time to get the chainsaw out and take care of the rest of it.
The grass is incredibly growing fast and needs mowed already. The forsythia's are beautiful in full bloom!

Up about 3 a.m. as storms began moving in. Tornado watch issues about 4:30. Not a warning, just a watch. Heavy rain now. Supposed to clear out around 7 a.m.
More potential weather issues for late this afternoon.
It's Spring in Kansas. Never know what will pop up....or blow over!! :>)

2 1/2" rain today. About .20" around 4 a.m. Then, nothing until 10:00 a.m. Two of us got our 18 holes of golf in before the rain really began to pour a little after 10. The rain came nice and is quite welcome. Supposed to rain more tomorrow and over the weekend.

Well, the weather folks say to prepare for Armageddon this afternoon and evening. We're right in the center of an area that is supposed to see significant tornados, large hail, flooding rains, etc. Been hauling supplies, etc. to the basement this morning. Don't know whether to leave the lawn chairs out on the deck so we can watch or just use commons sense and be prepared to head downstairs when the sirens begin to blow....
Omaha area got hit hard, yesterday. Hoping the weather folk are over preparing us. If they are, that's good. Seen a lot of tornados and damage from them living is KS our entire lives. "Tornado alley" had moved more east the past few years. Sounds like it might be moving back this way. I guess Dorothy and Toto survived. So, maybe we will too.

How are you making out with that weather 2old ? Keeping y'all in my thoughts.. Stay safe, my friend. Had a tornado warning in our county, just a couple miles west of us. Don't believe any damage. A number of warnings across a spectrum of the State. Again, haven't heard of anything really bad. We had 65 mph sustained wind for about 30 minutes. Lost power for a short while. Some large trees down in town. Some folks lost shingles. Supposed to have more rain coming in around 11:00 p.m. Rain and thunderstorms to last into tomorrow afternoon. Flood watch. If it comes steady and not just all at once, we should be okay. It looks like the really dangerous stuff is past. Could be a noisy night with some thunder, etc. Dog and I will sleep through it. Wife has trouble sleeping with her RLS...restless leg syndrome. She'll be our lookout!!! :>) Thanks for your concern. It's Spring in KS. We just never know what Mother Nature has in store for us.

Oklahoma got hit hard with tornados late last night. Sounds like there were some lives lost there. Storms headed into Missouri. Rain starting at the daughter's house in Central Missouri. Nothing severe, there, except rain. The town to the north of them has had some flooding. Shouldn't affect them, though.
Might get a little shower, here, around noon. Then, beautiful Monday and Tuesday. We could see close to 90 degrees on Tuesday. T-Storms Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday. That should catch us up on rain.
Mowed Thursday with the anticipated storms. Sheesh! Grass needs mowed again already!! Maybe dry enough by tomorrow afternoon.
