What a gorgeous day today! Partly sunny, with a nice breeze going on and 60ºF! Spent most of the day outdoors enjoying it. Shut the furnace off and opened some windows. Indoors cats were in seventh heaven!
Tomorrow, rain returns, then snow on Sunday.

Still stuck in this dreary cold. High today 36. Upper 50s by Monday and thru most of next week. Then back in the 40's for highs by next weekend. I've never touched a lady in anger in my life. Were I to meet Mother Nature on the street, someone would need to bail me out of jail!!!!

After one of the coldest stretches in recent history, yesterday we hit a high of 65 degrees!! Has set some record cold temps during January and then close to a record high. Supposed to be back to the 50's the next couple days. Predicting heavy rain over the weekend. We need the rain as long as it doesn't all come in an hour!!

First, stay safe and warm!! Mother Nature has been on a drinking binge...or something...this year across most of North America. I read the articles and something caught my eye. "English" schools and "French" schools. Instead of schools that have French as an elective course, some schools are predominantly French speaking? Thought there was still French spoken in certain parts of Canada, but didn't realize it must be the predominant language in some areas. So much to learn about neighbors and other cultures that either didn't have an interest in or didn't have time for when younger. joybelle, an Aussie who plays Forum Games on a regular basis, and I go round and round with the English language. The Aussies spell so many words differently than we do over here. They add u's in words. They use an 's' where we use a 'z'. She and I argue about who's right and who's wrong!!! :>) Now I know something about our neighbor to the North I didn't know yesterday! No matter how old or how educated, if you don't learn something new every day the day is wasted! :>)

2old, both English and French are official languages in Canada, although it is most prominent in the Province of Quebec. Nova Scotia is predominantly English, with a few pockets of French-speaking areas. Canadian & Australian English derive from British English, both being part of The British Empire. That's why we add 'u' to words like labour, etc., plus a few other little eccentricities.

Beautiful sunshine and 66 degrees F. Beautiful morning for golf. A little windy, but not all that bad. Played all 4 days this week after the good rain we had over the weekend.
