We were fortunate formerlyme...the forecast stated we'd receive up to 9" of snow and had us in a winter weather warning. But by 4pm yesterday, they changed that, since the storm shifted south of us and we got nothing overnight. I did see it was headed your way though.

Drifter, I'd been wondering what weather was developing in your area the past day or so. Glad you got off easy. This storm has spread from western Nova scotia into the central part of the Province over the past few hours. It's been snowing heavily in Halifax for quite a while now, but is expected to moderate through the night and into tomorrow. As the weather system moves further east, Cape Breton and then Newfoundland look to be in for quite a walloping.

It's 47° right now & very windy & is suppose to be 28° tonight. I was enjoying our temps in the 60's earlier this week. I'm ready for it to get back to the spring-like weather.

Not sure how my Valentines Day greeting ended up in the Weather forum, maybe a Senior Moment !
Anyway a mild, dry day here, with low winds

Happy Valentine's day to you fleur. We got a few inches of snow this week and temps in the single digits, but the weather will get warm again next week. The snow has already melted. We are having a non winter!

Turned out being a pretty nice day. Started out at 16ºF, but warmed up quickly when the sun came out and reached 42ºF. One more nice day tomorrow, then rain, rain and cold returns for the weekend.

In a tornado watch. Predicting strong t-storms with hail and high winds between about 7:00 and 9:00. Possible tornados. Time to get out the deck chairs, grab my coffee and a hotdog, and sit outside to watch the show!! :>)

Past us now. 1" rain. Some small hail. Tornado about 20 miles SE of us, close to wife's brother & SIL. Doesn't sound like any severe damage. Many areas close to us had 3" and 4" diameter hail. It's a little early for our stormy season, but we've had such a mild winter may get visited by Mother Nature's vengeance.
