There are a lot of email scammers stealing from people by using Covid-19 to get them to click on a link that will place malware in their computer. Be careful with email from unknown sources and links to sites you aren't familiar with. It's bad enough this virus could kill us, now we have to worry about scammers. These would be the same people that take advantage of natural disasters to scam the public. These would be the same people that take advantage of natural disasters to scam the public.
I can't tell the difference between the GOP and the scammers? seem to have the same motive?

I'm in a panic. I wish I'd talked my husband out of going to Uganda to visit our 'daughter' (not that he would have listened). They don't get a ton of tourists there so may be fine. My sis in law thinks many flights will be cancelled worldwide. Anyway, crossing fingers.
My sister emailed me and said there is a case in her city in Michigan and the person is in the hospital.
Our stupid prime minister said some of our loved ones will die but he's not banning large gatherings or closing schools. At least our First Minister in Scotland is in charge of that - she's banned gatherings over 500 but has not closed schools.
I just ordered a digital thermometer. The one we had was the old glass stick for under your tongue that I probably used on my sons when they were kids decades ago.

I'm sitting here waiting for the sun to peek out so I can do chores and I am wondering if the emotions I am feeling are panic in a way too. Second guessing my decisions to cancel hubby's appointments that are non 'essential' at the VA. Thinking of meds he takes and renewing them hoping that will not be disrupted. Wondering if I should go to Monday night class or drop out? I have one of those thermometers too, love the digital ones.

I am most worried about him getting stuck there if the UK closes borders (I don't think they will but who knows 2 weeks from now). I had a hair appointment for next week in the city and I've cancelled that. I feel safe where I live - low population and I'm only going to the supermarket. It is likely we'll not go on our trip to London early April as I feel sure the annual concert we go to will be cancelled.

Annie, my thermometer situation was same as yours - glass and ancient. Got new digital one yesterday. Hope all goes well with your family's travel plans.

I can't imagine how this feels.

My emotions are up and down... Mostly in the last few days I have been feeling anger... Anger that my husband and I are cloistered up in this house.. day after day because we are self isolating. Anger because we really don't know what's going to happen and how long this is going to last.. Anger because the markets are crashing and money is just evaporating...Anger at the idiot in the White House who has now gone from blaming the Democrats for perpetrating a hoax to hurt him to now declaring a national emergency.. just a little too late.. Anger at the fact there still are no tests available so we don't know how bad this really is... and most of all anger at the Morons dismissing this as nonsense and media hype because the ahole in the WH and fox news has told them so.. So much is upsetting these days.

All that crap you're taking is not going to keep you from contracting COVID-19... You may believe it is.. and you may have convinced yourself you are protecting yourself.. but you aren't.. If you have no antibodies against COVID-19 you are going to catch it and at your age, I'd be pretty concerned about that prospect.

You poor thing.. I guess that if by age 81 you haven't learned you never will.. Do what you want and believe what you choose.. But you are so far off base it isn't even funny.. It's your life and health you are gambling with.

I'd rather know what's going on than not.....Trump would be happy if the public knew less....he tries to squash the media and the truth every chance he gets, most thinking people trust the media over Donald Trump and his mindless morons.
