I turned TV off about 1 AM. Dems are smart about this...providing their case evidence ahead of the trial in the manner that they have been, with sound bites of what trump said that can be used against him along with evidence from text messages we haven't seen before. It also is showing how the GOP is the party of trump and that not one of them will step up and be a John McCain. trumps lawyers were awful. Same talking points as trump, including lying on the Senate floor. I wouldn't hire one of them to defend me! LOL I hope the blue wave hits them hard in the Fall! I saw the Democrats pleading their case, and a good case it is. Gop won't allow anything new,, old, or in between. The jokes on them. One thing I think,,, Mich needs to step down. He's too involved. It's suppose to be impartial. The facts speak. Mich needs to step down and stop leading the rest by their noses. Mitch McConnell only leads because he is allowed to. Each of his fellow senators has a vote. They voted him into the office of leadership and they can vote him out but they don't. Why? Each of you who is a U.S. citizen has two state senators. Do you know how your senators voted? Do they know your feelings about McConnell and the heavy-handed way he handles his office? If not, why not?

My question is why did it take THIRTY TWO days to send the articles over? If they wanted it bad enough, those articles would have been faxed over immediately with the originals hand delivered within the hour.
Answer...their case is weak and they wanted time to manufacture 'dirt'.

When I went turned out the light and went to bed last night, they were still going over will and what will not be allowed. Sorry, Democrats . Even though talking till 2AM , nothing new at I know of as of 9:30 PM when I turned off the TV. Face it people,,, we'll be in for 4 more years. I don't like it, but unless the Dems have someone worthy of taking on Trump and Can win, but if not,,,, you know who will be back in... if he is put in again for a second term my new address will be Plum Blossom Road Taipei Taiwan I haven't lived in the US since Clinton was president, but I am still affected by this orange turd - he is destroying my country and indirectly the rest of the world - and the country my granddaughters live in. I supposed he could screw with my SS and wouldn't put it past him.

My state senators (the last state I lived and voted in) are republicans as is my congressman. TN is red. I have emailed all of them many times and I get back the same BS replies each time.

Adam Schiff is up now.....that man has been a joy to watch, he is on top of the situation, he corrects the Repubs lies and tells it like it is, I do hope he moves up in the future. I listened to him from far off Sydney and he presented the facts very clearly and by going over the time line, he managed to present them twice. I liked the way he challenged senators, asking them did they want to hear new evidence now, or wait for it to come out later, which it will.
I was very impressed. He even managed to keep everyone awake with video of witnesses' own words.

Fox News Legal Analyst: 'Ample' Evidence To Remove Donald Trump From Office In a new op-ed on Fox News’ website, Andrew Napolitano debunked Trump’s “hoax” defense in his Senate impeachment trial. “It is deadly serious business based on well-established constitutional norms,” the former New Jersey Superior Court judge wrote of the trial in a column published on the conservative news network’s website Thursday. It “leaves us with valid, lawful, constitutional arguments for Trump’s impeachment that he ought to take seriously,” wrote Napolitano, who has not shied away from criticizing Trump and his administration in recent months. “What is required for removal of the president?” Napolitano asked. “A demonstration of presidential commission of high crimes and misdemeanors, of which in Trump’s case the evidence is ample and uncontradicted.” www.huffpost.com/entry/fox-news-andrew-napolitano-donald-trump-impeachment-trial_n_5e294d98c5b6779e9c2dbc5f

I is very clear that tramp's corruption easily reaches the level of impeachment.
But the GOP has taken the Kool-aid. So reality does not matter.

do republicans consider the consequences if they acquit?there's no telling what trump is going to do.unless they want a civil war, they will be right back where they are in a month or two.this could get ugly.do they think trump's going to settle down and act any differently?they sure don't care about the american people.

We certainly have to give credit to Schiff, Nadler, etc. for some excellent oratory. Listening to them should make anyone wonder how there could ever be an acquittal. What I notice most, is the phenomenal text of their speeches and the visual aids. Someone behind the scenes is a genius. The GOP whines about the 32 days Pelosi "delayed" in filing the Articles of Impeachment with the Senate. That time had to be spent in long hours planning each and every piece of the case to be presented... who would present each piece... and the visual aids which would accompany each segment. Some movies aren't as professionally produced as is the presentations by the House Managers. Soon, the defense team will begin presenting their case. I cannot believe we will see near the well-prepared team presentation. Of course, they don't have to do anything more than say about 5 words and sit down. McConnell is assured he has the votes required for acquittal.

I say before all GOP care about is to be re-elected and no tick off Trump’s base they could care less about the American People or justice or the Constitution they just want to get through trial and hide but Karma may be harsh for some of them in November

Far as I am concerned the whole lot of them are worthless I used to testify in front of several Congressional committees or sub-committees To be honest, many of the distinguished members of Congress were blatant idiots!!! They many times would ask me questions concerning operations or projects I would reply to my best abilities that many of the questions were classified and I could not give them a direct answer They would stop and then ask the same question in another way..... I would again explain I was not at liberty to give a direct answer.... then they would again ask the same question yet another way!!! Trust and believe many many of our elected officials are dumb as a box of hammers!!!! No wonder they support Trump like a herd of sheep.....

I just believe that GOP used to be very hawkish against Russia but now not only did they condone Trump and his connection with Putin in fact Moscow Mitch has his own connection with Russia.... every corrupt issue that comes out leads back to Russia Putin is laughing with glee As long as Trump is in power we are losing our grip on democracy He is traitor and GOP by supporting him are just as guilty
