Wonder if their heirs are like those two brothers?

The Kochs had pretty will given up on Trump. They were, however, still purchasing members of Congress. Will be interesting to see how much Koch Industries will stay involved with the funding of GOP campaigns when the Russians are dumping so much into many of those same war chests.

Charles Koch Died
I find it very sad that we have posters on this board that welcome his death! What is wrong with them?

I agree with Old Montana. It is unseemly to slag off the recently departed. Time enough later for an assessment of their life but for the sake of the mourners I prefer a moratorium on negativity.
Silence says more than harsh words IMO.

In 2012, their network of hardcore libertarian political donors spent $400 million on negative campaign ads intended to destroy government safety nets and defeat Democrats. They want to repeal Obamacare, dismantle labor unions, repeal any environmental law protecting clean water and air, roll back voting rights, privatize Social Security, stop a minimum wage increase and more. They don’t care about destroying the checks and balances in American democracy to get their way. Here are 11 things the Kochs don’t want you to know about them

Koch headquarters is in Wichita, KS... 2 hours south of where we live. Wichita was the home of Boeing for decades. The Kochs were always disdainful of Boeing, since they had to compete with union wages for staff in Wichita. Boeing was contemplating expansion of their facilities in Wichita and went to the State for some tax incentive assistance. Kochs had purchased Brownback, our then Governor. They told Brownback that if Boeing rec'd a cent from the State, he would never get another dime in campaign funding from them. Brownback saw to it that Boeing's request was denied and Boeing pulled up stakes, leaving Kansas. Koch Industries got what they wanted. They broke the Boeing union and the high wages they had to compete against.

Harsh words can feel d*mn good too. To each her own.
If you want people to speak kindly of you when you're gone it's a good idea to be kind to people while you're still here.

Charles Koch Died I find it very sad that we have posters on this board that welcome his death! What is wrong with them? But you're not the least bit disturbed over the crass,no-class disrespectful comments Trump spewed over Senator John McCain, both when he was alive, and after his death.

Nkat, he didn't care about the lives of many people. He couldn't have cared less if they lived or died.
What you sow you reap. At least he can't feel fear or pain like the people he hurt felt.
Death doesn't turn you into a decent person. Nor does it change how people feel.

Charles Koch Died I find it very sad that we have posters on this board that welcome his death! What is wrong with them? I posted this. I don't welcome his death. I welcome the fact that there is one less greedy pig manipulating our system. I couldn't care less how they go. I just want them gone. I try to be a humble man. I do my best to do no harm. Quite the contrary was true of Charles Koch and others like him. The Kochs and their likes are some of the wealthiest people in the world and they seem to believe that in our democracy, they should have the right to govern by proxy because they are the biggest guys on the block when it comes to money and power. That is exactly what most of our founding fathers wanted to avoid. Is this form of bribery legal? Yes, because the likes of the Koch brothers paid to make it so. I don't welcome anyone's death, but his death means as much to me as my death would have to him. I care as much about him as he cared for soldiers who died protecting his overseas interests. I'm just glad there's one less of them and it happens to be one of their biggest players. I feel for his family and friends unless they are like him. Then I simply have no feeling toward them whatsoever. I refuse to hate. If I hated them, I'd be playing into their divisive game. Make no mistake however, it's the likes of Charles Koch who are our enemies due to the ways they use their extreme power to manipulate the system for their benefit regardless of how the rest of us are affected by their actions.

I couldn't have put it better. Why should we show respect for someone who has never shown respect for us? I never hated him. What good would that do? I simply have no reason to care how he loses his power. I don't care if he died, became incapacitated due to an accident or illness, disappeared into a life of bliss on a deserted island, or had a come to Jesus moment. How he's gone is of no consequence to me. His influence on our system is gone. One of our biggest enemies is gone. One less person buying influence and paying for the privilege of dictating policy to the very people we vote for to represent our best interests.
