......the problem with Hillary is that too many fall for the obsessive rhetoric of Republicans.

Hillary may have been superbly qualified but she was not especially popular. Many people, including myself lost respect for her when she did nothing (at least in the public eye) about Bill's infidelity. She didn't come across as especially likable, and the traitor in chief along with the Russians created enough doubt about her emails and Benghazi to hurt her standing where her integrity was concerned. She was a flawed candidate from the beginning and she didn't make a very good showing when she debated the traitor. My perception is that Warren would do much better and so far, Warren seems to be squeaky clean Agree on all points, except the "native American" thing that the RWNJS have worked so hard at making an issue of. I never liked Hillary, only started warming up to her in the 2016 election. She does have an impressive resume, would have made an excellent POTUS, but that ship has sailed.

Hillary's relationship with her husband was none of my business any more than Jackies relationship with Kennedy was.
I couldn't care less about that. I like her. I don't think she was flawed. I think she's brilliant and would have made an excellent president. Who isn't flawed? That's a Republican talking point.
Was she perfect? All I can say is compared to the idiot sitting in the WH, I'd have to say a lot more perfect than this jerk. Then again a germ is more perfect than that goon.
I would have been proud to have Hillary as my president. I think she was a thorn in the side of the Republicans. A smart politican who happens to be a woman.
Can't have that. We will take a loud mouth sexual perverted rich goon instead. So what if he can't speak, abuses women, cheats his workers, lies, lies, lies, and can't talk without a teleprompter. So what if he knows nothing about politics or policy. He's a man and that's all that matters.
I like the other women out there but they can't hold a candle to Hillary.
We have a jerk in the WH but at least he's not Hillary. He's a plant. A pawn. An evil clown.
It's a new feeling for me. I've never been ashamed to be an American. Takes some time working it out but I'm getting there.

I totally agree, birdgal, she was voted most admired woman in America for 17 straight years.....I don't recall the numbers of the final count in the 2016 presidential election, but she beat Trump by millions.....I don't buy Hillary being unlikable, its Republican propaganda for sure.

I totally agree too, Hillary has been fighting since she was a young girl. And if she stood by her man, that's her business. He didn't commit the worse sin in the world.
Hillary is so admired by so many in the world.
The cwap she swallowed by trump during their campaign, good grief. I can see him now circling her on the stages.

"Obsessive rhetoric of Republicans." Exactly, Kady! That works for them. They know many people are willing to swallow whatever poison they are fed. Too lazy to seek the truth. It's easier to stand around like an angry mob shouting stupid things, letting other people tell you what to believe, instead of using your brain to check things out.
No wonder the jerk in the WH loves the uneducated. Does anyone remember when he leaned into the microphone and said that? The crowd cheered. Sigh.

Joymarty, I remember when he slithered around in back of her! She held her own. Didn't even acknowledge the stench behind her. He would have never done that to a man.
He is such an embarrassment. His presence in the Oval Office is a stain, a nasty smell.
Too bad there isn't some kind of human pest repellent. A gal can dream. Lol.

I wasn't arguing whether or not Hillary was qualified or whether or not she would have made a good president. I voted for her. The fact is, she lost. You can blame the traitor in chief for lying, cheating and stealing the election, blame the Russians, the electoral college, Bernie, etc., but I still say, there was enough for traitor to capitalize on and he won. She didn't do a good enough job of getting the necessary numbers of Liberals to the polls to ensure victory. Sure, she was cheated out of it, but cheating by traitor could easily have been expected and traitor pounded her in the debates with lies, intimidation tactics, and just enough BS to energize his base. If she was so great, she should have seen everything coming that he threw at her. She accused him of colluding with the Russians and offered nothing to substantiate her claims. All he had to do was say, "I didn't do anything of the sort - you did." Again, I voted for her so don't jump on my case. The results speak for themselves. I trust our nominee won't make the same mistakes...but who knows?

I'm not quite sure what it was about Hillary that I didn't care for, maybe I judged her for playing the mousey "stand-by-your-man" thing with Bill's infidelity. All that was phony, like Bill's remorseful proclamations after he finally started telling the truth. In retrospect, I wouldn't think a First Lady would have many alternatives, being on the World stage after all.
...if Hillary declared her candidacy tomorrow, I wouldn't hesitate to vote for her in the primary...she would be a great pick, plus she has some "unfinished business" to take care of, with the Swine-in-chief.

If you're a woman candidate you've got to compensate, it you are a Democrat woman candidate you've got to compensate and most of all if you are a Democrat Woman candidate running against a crooked SOB Republican you damn better compensate, no matter if you are well liked or have 3 million votes more than the SOB.

True, Kady! Sad but very true. A perverted, unqualified lying slime sits in the Oval Office because he's a man, and a pawn.
While a smart politican had to be perfect in every way because she's only a woman.
Sexism is more than stupid. It's a dangerous game.

Again, I voted for her so don't jump on my case. Oh, I'm not jumping on your case. I haven't jumped in years. I'm expressing my feelings. I think Hillary was robbed. I believe the election was hacked by our enemies inside and out of the country. I believe people enjoyed jumping on the "we hate Hillary" band wagon because hate is easy. Gets people all riled up. I believe the FBI also believes there was some hacking going on. I was standing on line in a grocery store a few years back and I heard a woman tell another woman she'd never vote for Hillary. The other woman asked why. She said, "because she really wants to be president." Well, there you go! That's a damn good reason not to vote for somebody. Do you honestly believe you'd hear anybody ever use that reason not to vote for a man? Just sayin'.

The fact that someone as superbly qualified for the job as Hilary Clinton could not beat a Donald Trump is proof that misogyny runs deep and wide in this country. Therefore, I think our first female POTUS will have to inherit the job rather than be voted into it. I will vote for whomever the Democratic Party decides should be the nominee. I have no overwhelming favorite yet Russian interference had a lot to do with the outcome, much more so than misogyny. A lot of dirty politics came into play in 2016, BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER that Clinton won the majority of the popular vote.
