I have a longtime republican friend who has voted the Dem ticket the last two elections and she's excited about Steyer. I just contributed $1 to get him on Sept debate stage. Reminds me of the dark horse Ross Perot who I was very excited about and worked on his campaign. www.tomsteyer.com/

Thomas Fahr Steyer is an American billionaire hedge fund manager, philanthropist, environmentalist, liberal activist, and fundraiser. I don't trust billionaires. The love of money produces Republicans, the concern for people produces liberals. I thought he was a little nutty, and I was a Republican back then.

Not all wealthy people are the same. I like what's said about what Steyer does with his money.
Look at the wealthy Kennedys, do you feel the same about this family and all they have done and continue to do in spite of their wealth?

Your point is well taken, I'm glad Steyer is using his wealth for good. Extreme wealth cannot be accrued without stepping on the necks of a lot of wage earners, whether it be directly or in some indirect fashion.

My only concern is we have so many and whole idea is to whittle down not to add more people especially when these people don’t have tons of support they have many localized support but nationally none....we will not have 20 people on ballot when primary come, we need to start looking for the small number not expand with more and more people. another related point..... I never really can trust businessman after the fraud we have now no matter his intentions

This guy could be the "dark horse" that ends up being the nominee. Huge difference between him and Trump. Trump has made his money by stepping on people, using people for his own benefit, and still looks at every single issue as "how can I make money off this". Steyer, OTOH, made his money... and lots of it... in the investment business. But, since 2013, he has been spending off millions promoting getting people energized and voting. He has spent millions fighting and making people aware of climate change. He and his wife have pledged to spend their money for good causes during their lifetime, not amass millions to leave behind buildings, casinos, golf courses, etc. with their name plastered all over them.
I would like to see this guy on one of the debate stages... once a significant number of the wannabe candidates have dropped out. Give me Biden, Warren, Harris, and Steyer… and only those four... on a debate stage. That would be an interesting and educational evening.

Another billionaire promising to use his own money to get elected....$100 million. (trump stated the same thing when he came down that elevator.) Guess Tom didn't think it through before changing his mind about running for President, that he would need donations to get on stage. He funded investments in private prisons, coal, a migrant detention center on the U.S.-Mexican border. linkI agree with tnthomas when he stated: IMO, if he makes the stage, his skeleton's too will be heard, just like Kamala Harris.

I tend to agree with both chinadoll1981 and Drifter .... don't need more people on the stage... don't trust "moneybags" no matter how good they are or focus... I think I for one, have had enough from a businessman.....

ChinaDoll, everyone is a business person if you really think about it. So many of our presidents are attorneys, actors ...they are business people.

Biden's age is against him I believe. Steyer is a young 62 and I feel good about this man. Read about him more on Wiki.
