So because I agree with him and the study I have homophobia? That is not only not true it was uncalled for!! It still is. Why is that so hard for you to understand? Everyone but you understands what's going on in this thread. Re-read your own words, so you can understand how you have contradicted yourself. con·tra·dict ˌkäntrəˈdikt/ verb past tense: contradicted; past participle: contradicted

20 hours ago oldmontana said: “Rep. Smith responded by saying that he does not approve of gay adoption because gay households are not healthy environments for children to grow up in,” Valdes told the LGBTQ website. “He then stated that ‘numerous household studies’ show that children that have heterosexual parents have better lives than children that have homosexual parents.” This I agree with.

Yes, if you agree with a homophobe then you are also one. So are you are saying that the Rep Smith is homophobe? If so how do you know that? FYI I agreed with what he said about a study. That was bullsh*t. What studies? He made them up. He is a homophobe. As are you.

You just contradicted yourself!
HOW can you agree with what he said AND the study, when, by your own admission, you did not see any study?
If you are agreeing with him, then tell us, why you feel raising children is healthier in a heterosexual relation. (I don't have to ask what you agreed with in the study since you stated you haven't seen any.)
I think you're so old school, set in your ways, that anything different that what you assume should be normal, is just wrong. So, prove me wrong oldmontana ... but don't tell me calling you homophobic is uncalled for. Again.... So because I agree with him and the study I have homophobia? That is not only not true it was uncalled for!! It still is. Why is that so hard for you to understand? What gives you the ability to say I am this or that? I do not have to prove a thing to you but I do have the right, like you to state my opinion...and that is what I did. If you want to continue to disagree with my opinion do so. There are many studies like this one..I remember seeing other studies .. have you? You always posts "your opinion" as if it was the final say about a subject. It's not. Your statements ARE up for discussion, whether you like it or not! You need to clarify and explain your opinions because nobody will be brainwashed into accepting your opinions as gospel. Read this thread from top to bottom. Then, tell Rebecca & Chinadoll why they don't make good parents, to two lovely daughters. You won't be able to make your case with them!
I stand by what I posted at you...you are old school and set in your ways!

I can see where there might be a down side to being adopted by a gay couple. What if you ended up with some creepy old dude like oldmontana as a neighbor who would always be sneaking dirty looks at you from behind the curtains? That would be a real bummer.

It would be a good thing if people put brain in to gear before mouth or pen goes in to motion!

What "we had 50 years ago" is greatly over rated. What we had were were cultural entities wherein women and children were treated as property and were often mentally and physically abused by the all powerful husband/father. Once a woman married, she pretty much surrendered all control over her life. That kind of atmosphere is far from ideal for bringing up children. Far better to be brought up in a home where the adults genuinely care for the children and each other. That doesn't need the verification of a "study", it's self evident common sense.

It's alarming to see just how much of that judging without knowing based on fear and irrational belief is running rampant in public.
I was in town today picking up our dogs from the groomers...there was a dodge pick-up truck parked in front with the message across the rear window:
"IF YOU DON'T LIKE OUR COUNTRY GET THE F*CK OUT".
Creepy, but I do live in a very REDneck area....TrumpishStan.

He reminds me of a cranky adult when asked, "Why?" He yells at you, "Because I said so!" No reason, no rhyme...just don't question me!
