I see him as a refreshing change from the same old same old. He has the 'hootzpah' and 'kahoonies' to tell it like it is and is not afraid of backlash. 'hootzpah' and 'kahoonies'....really? Being a privileged, weasely loudmouth does not constitute having either hootzpah or kahoonies.... Seeing the nation's assets being barred from the working class and handed to the wealthy elite is not my idea of "refreshing". But, to each his own.

Good evening to all- I read this thread with some interest.
"TheSource"- With all due respect, if you see tRump as showing chutzpah or having cajones to "tell it like it is..." obviously, we see those terms very differently. tRump is not brave or bold- he is abusive and mean as hell. tRump does not "tell like it is" but instead tells it as he wants it to be. Every day in every way tRump demonstrates more and more clearly why he is the worst elected official in our country's history, and why he should be removed from office at very earliest opportunity. If tRump were the things you claim, TheSource, he would be worth some consideration. But he is not those things, and he does not deserve anything except an exit at the soonest moment. good day to all- Ed

I'll toss this in: I wouldn't go as far as to call it a conspiracy, but there's something going on behind the scenes- because the politicians could not possibly be that ignorant.
Here's an example from a state agency document, only one example of what they call 'success stories": While it's very unusual for anyone other than white-collar professionals to obtain full-time jobs in this area, one individual managed to do so. The job pays $8 per hour- and we can assume that means before taxes. The household consists of a single parent and one child. Considering even the most basic expenses- rent, utilities, the child's needs, etc.- how likely is it that the person will be 'self-sufficient'- or, more likely, to continue needing assistance? And of course the part that irritates me- the child in question is a three-week-old infant.
Seems to me if their goal was really to end 'dependency,' these work requirements are actually creating more of it, and for longer periods of time.

The Washington Post, my God. Back in the 1970s The Washington Post was perceived as left-wing bias in both reporting and editorials. But today, as Chris Matthews mentioned: "Well, The Washington Post is not the liberal newspaper it was, Congressman, let me tell you. I have been reading it for years and it is a neocon newspaper. So the Ten "best" things that Trump has done in his first year are strictly from a right-wing perspective, and in no way constitute actual good things for the nation. A couple "good things" out of the ten listed that I wouldn't dispute: 10. He enforced President Barack Obama’s red line against Syria’s use of chemical weapons. and, 1. He is not Hillary Clinton.

The Washington Post, my God. Back in the 1970s The Washington Post was perceived as left-wing bias in both reporting and editorials. The Washington Post is now owned by Jeff Bezos. A man whose net worth is now estimated to be in excess of $100 Billion Dollars. So it's no wonder it's become a right wing rag.

I would like to know what makes you think you are so special. To paraphrase.....Toby, if I told you, then I'd have to kill you.

I don't for one minute believe you have any "front line" perspective and knowledge.. I believe you are operating solely on preconceived notions about poor people and crap being fed to you from FOX and other Right Wing garbage sites... If I'm wrong.. then tell us.. What position are you in to have knowledge that no one else has.. Fess up of shut up.

On a scale of 1 to 10 of the US's problems, Welfare does not even show.
If people would put this passion into real problems. The country may not have, the Great depression 2, in 30 years or less!
It would help to get more people free or affordable daycare, so they could afford to work?
Trying to help people overcome why they can't work could be useful. Not as cheap and "fun as throwing them in the street (sarcasm)"

The sad thing is trump's Golf money may be well spent if it keeps him from starting WW3.
