And please, please explain to me how I am displaying bigotry? By hating people that scam the system and take money from those that truly need it? By hating the very same people that have degraded the system to what it is so that those who deserve assistance can no longer get it? Because you imply that the overwhelming majority of those on government assistance are somehow scamming the system when the reality, which you could use a big dose of, is that it's only a very minuscule percentage.

Yes I am and proud of it! You think you're funny don't you?
Here's a clue Dude. You're about as funny as the terminal cancer ward at a children's hospital.

Dude, you don't get out much, do you. I think you need to find another optometrist and trade in those rose colored glasses you've been wearing.
I am implying nothing. I am stating factual accounts of what I see on an almost daily basis. Just because you don't see what I see or have seen, you Sir are the one that is in error with YOUR implication that I don't know what I am talking about.
More like a minuscule percentage of those that are NOT trying to scam the system.

More like a minuscule percentage of those that are NOT trying to scam the system. I can't find the statistics but I would bet that a majority of those on welfare are single mothers with no job skills. I was 18 and pregnant when I got married. No chance to go to college or get a skill. Marriage failed of course so I was left with 2 young sons and no skills. What would you propose I do? I did go to community college to get a skill when my kids were both in school. I had to count every penny while on welfare. When I got a job my pay was small and health insurance was not included. I certainly didn't make enough to pay a babysitter so my kids were latchkey kids. No healthcare of course. No dental. I was better off on welfare. Yes, my own stupid fault but do these kids have to suffer because you can't stand your taxes paying for them?
So what do you suggest for this huge group of welfare mothers? Maybe mandatory abortions for those who get pregnant when they are young? Take their babies and put them up for adoption against their will? How about putting them all in some institution where it's cheaper to take care of them?

This is from Time and a few years old, but gives a look at statistics.... While critics still like to use old arguments of rampant abuse to lambast a program that feeds millions of Americans, the fraud rate has decreased from “about 4 cents on the dollar in 1993 to about 1 cent” by 2006. And this decline has only continued, with the 3.5% rate of fraud in 2012 reducing to less than 1.5% today. time.com/4711668/history-food-stamp-fraud/

Absolutely... So much concern over some poor person getting something for nothing.. YET.. the Corporate welfare whores are applauded... Makes ME sick, and it costs the taxpayer infinitely more than anyone "gaming" the welfare system.
You are definitely misplacing your hatred and bigotry Source. Thank you Dr. QS. Take two doses of reality and call me in the morning.
Just think about that “poor person”[sic] scamming away and thinking of a way to steal your identity. That poor person getting your ‘something’ for ‘nothing’. I wonder how concerned you would be then.
And please, please explain to me how I am displaying bigotry? By hating people that scam the system and take money from those that truly need it? By hating the very same people that have degraded the system to what it is so that those who deserve assistance can no longer get it?
If hating something that is wrong of hating someone for doing something wrong not only against me but every law abiding tax paying citizen and wishing for a change is bigotry, then color me black. TheSource , hatred is a strong word, and some compassion is in order for the many honest people who have a legitimate need for assistance. It is so easy to be judgmental from the sidelines.
Do you hate Trump? What about all the innocent people he 'scammed' with his bogus Trump University? People who were likely trying to obtain the skills to be upwardly mobile, and ended up losing their tuition money? What about all his golfing weekends at Mar a Lago, that cost honest taxpayers millions for security and travel for each of those weekends? Talk about 'gaming the system'! I won't bore you with the many other obvious examples that I'm sure you're perfectly aware of. Yet, I've never heard you post a single critical word about him. Is this not a 'double standard'?
There are just as many (probably a lot more) money scammers and 'players' cheating on Wall Street as on Welfare or Public Assistance. It's not fair or logical to paint everyone (or most everyone) in a particular category with the same brush! That is called 'stereotyping', and leads to nothing good.

A little 'food for thought' - a quote from Franklin D. Roosevelt:
"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."

People need a job...if they do not they feel sorry for themselves which leads to crime, etc, etc.
I grew up when we had the WPA which gave people jobs.

It reminds me of police who become jaded because they see bad people all day.
Why, harass poor people. What is the point! We have ways to make you work?

Unless a young person has affluent parents that can put them through college, the job market and chances for economic success are uncertain. I was fortunate, when I came back from Vietnam in 1972 and left the Army, I could grab a halfway decent job, one that paid well enough to cover monthly expenses.

Republicans have instilled this false picture of poor people taking advantage of the system to detract from the REAL problem..
