It's 3 p.m. The temperature is ONLY 102 degrees F. But, the humidity moved in last night and the heat index is 122!!! This is supposed be the "coolest" day for the next 3 or 4... 108, 108, 107, 101. Those are the predicted ambient temps. Heat indexes, with the humidity, quite a bit higher.
Didn't play golf this weekend due to a tournament at the course. Will try to play the next few days. Starting at 7 a.m., should beat the terrific heat. If not, will either just play 9 holes instead of 18...or stay home. Really been a rough weekend. Can't go outside due to the heat. Caught up with work inside the house...other than a major project for next winter. BORED!!!

Had a little nicer week with highs in the 90's instead of those triple digits. And, the humidity has dropped which helps. Supposed to get back to low triple digits for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Mother Nature has lost track of time! It's September... one of the "brrrr" months!!!
Mornings have been upper 50's to low 60's as we tee off at the course. Beautiful weather and we're done before it warms up.

It's a rather nice afternoon here, sunny and hot but not overly humid. The following few days are expected to become VERY hot/humid, after which it is predicted to come down to consistently more comfortable autumn-like temperatures. It has been quite the cruel summer overall for many places in the world, and our little piece of the planet in Nova Scotia is no exception with lots of extensive wild fires, thunder storms, heavy rainfalls and flash flooding. I'll be glad to welcome autumn. Before global warming changed the world's climate irrevocably, I loved summer...no more!!! www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/weather-ryan-snoddon-wettest-summer-on-record-1.6959338

We've had lows in the 50's and highs in the 80's. Beautiful fall weather. Still parched and dry. Cannot get a drop of rain. Had some promised for tonight, but now they are saying that will slide to the south of us.
Have a dirt contractor hired to do some work around the new building at our golf course. Says he is keeping busy cleaning out farm ponds. Farm ponds are dry due to the drought. So, the farmers are having him clean out the silt so when/if we do get back to normal rainfall the capacity is better. Waiting to see camels in the pastures as we drive the rural roads!! :>)

Best of luck weathering it! Stay safe!!!! Split that storm a little and send some of the rain our way!! Have another internet friend who lives is St. John. She posted a map a few days ago when her area was to be dead center of Lee. "Interesting" times.

She posted a map a few days ago when her area was to be dead center of Lee. "Interesting" times. Thanks, 2old. My power went off shortly after my post (cut out just before 6 a.m.) & came back on around 7:50 p.m. My landline phone service was out for that same period, as well. We've had periods of intense rainfall. Powerful winds are persisting, probably will through the night, but we're past the worst of it in my immediate area. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/post-tropical-storm-lee-makes-landfall-in-atlantic-canada-1.6968112?cmp=DM_Display_PopularNow_CBCNews_TWN
