Also, I couldn't care less about charitable gifts you claim you've made. First, you've never given any of us any reason to believe a word you say. And second, it should be government's responsibility to take care of the needy. Of course, if government took proper care of the needy, it would require raising taxes on corporations and the wealthy...and...it would take away corporations' and wealthy peoples' ability to play heroes through philanthropic actions. When Walmart, Walgreens, Kroger, etc. ask if you'd like to donate your change to a charity, guess who gets credit for that, in many cases, without spending a dime of their own money? It ain't you. And what happens to those donations should the country enter into hard times? You said you vote for candidates who believe in personal responsibilities, like the working class doesn't stand for personal responsibility. Again...Most of the things you posted were you said Democrats are for and Republicans are against are supported by both parties. Your posts indicate how much you hate the Republican party, but reasons do not hold water, they show hate. I have posted that people that can take care of their needs should do so. If they cannot the government should help them. Under Biden and the D's people that were making up to $250,000.00 a year were getting taxpayers money to help feed their children...I call those dollars for votes. Your posts show you think that posting lies again and again people will buy it. I see one poster likes your lies, telling. Have a great 4th! And you responded exactly as everyone knew you would.

Many in the majority don't care about politics at all. I've heard some of them say they leave politics up to politicians. So it looks as if it's both a lack of interest and perhaps a little laziness. Until their lives are affected. Then all they will do is moan and groan and blame others for not giving a damn. They are quite annoying, scary, and thoughtless. I agree completely. We largely have a complacent society...but...there's hope. I believe Independents are getting fed up with right-wing shenanigans. Abortion and guns have become top priority issues. Roughly 70% of the youth vote leans left and youths are more involved than ever. After all, they're about to inherit this mess. All the lies, all the cheating, all the indictments and convictions will be strongly emphasized by the Left in the general. I think, once the primaries are over, we'll see a strong shift to the left...but as I've said before, I tend to be a cockeyed optimist. Dems have blown opportunities in the past. They have EVERYTHING going in their favor other than an aging president. Let's hope they don't blow this one. Blow this chance, and we might not get another chance.

We do have a young VP though. Being she's only a girl might turn a few sexist and racist people off. Her experience and intelligence doesn't even count to some. Some who obviously lack both.

I'm a fan of Kamala Harris, but I question her electability. In my opinion, watch Gavin Newsome. I think he's doing some prep work - likely for '28.

If Kamala does run she is smart enough to know she will have a target on her back.
I'm ready for a woman president but I don't think citizens of the US are. I don't think they ever will be.
If Hillary wasn't good enough and I do believe she was and still is more than qualified, I don't think I will see a woman prez in my lifetime. If ever.
If she was a man all the things they don't like about her would be assets instead of insults.
Grow up, America!

What specifically do you question about her electability? Her education, her sex, her age or race?
Trump was in the WH. What kind of education did he have besides being a millionaire at age 8? But he is a White man which makes him more than qualified.

But he is a White man which makes him more than qualified. Trump really lowered the bar, his election corrupted the notion of "qualified" for public office. But he knows how to work the system, he knows how to manipulate the GOP, which is desperate for means to retain & gain power. Trump's public exposure as a reality show host was a valuable, enabling position to put him in the public eye.
Kamala Harris is intelligent, educated and steadfast, but her only public exposure outside of California has been VP since Biden took office. To be honest, if Hillary couldn't prevail against a GOP contender I'm not sure if Kamala could, at least in the near future.

It's too bad so many women and men refuse to support qualified, strong and intelliygent women.
It's frustrating and very annoying so many women still don't think women are capable of being a leader. Other countries know a leader doesn't depend on female or male.
We are a young country. We need to grow up now!
The only thing wrong with Hillary was her sex. Oh, and she is a strong woman. Who needs that?

But he is a White man which makes him more than qualified. Please bear in mind, I would vote for Kamala Harris hands down in a general election. The main "flaw" I see, is that she can come across as having a snarky attitude. It's a turn-off. It's likely true that if a man said the same things in the same way, he wouldn't be perceived as snarky, but she does. By the way, I voted for Elizabeth Warren in the primary so I'm not at all against women as leaders. In fact, I've said it here..."We need less testosterone running things." I'm all for women as leaders. I'm just being honest as to how I think Harris comes across. That's why I think her electability is questionable. Where Hillary is concerned, when she raises her voice in campaign mode, she sounds "haggy." Granted, for anyone who is a Liberal, she should have gotten the votes, but she didn't. Again, I'm simply trying to understand why, and I think it wasn't difficult for Republicans to paint her as "witchy." Running for office isn't about qualifications. It's about "salesmanship" and financial backing.

First, I don’t “hate” anyone – not even the Republican Party, though I find the Republican Party’s actions despicable. Second, Democrats try to pass bills to ensure fair treatment of ALL citizens regardless of skin color, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, country of origin, or monetary status. Republicans vote against those bills. Republicans have brutalized voters by gerrymandering – denying people of equal representation. Republicans denied the results of elections won by Democrats. Simply put, Republicans cheat. Nearly all Republicans voted against Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act aimed at expanding domestic manufacturing in clean energy and reducing dependence on Chinese imports. Republicans voted against a much needed infrastructure bill. Funny thing is, most of the money has gone to red states, and many Republican legislators are trying to take credit for it despite voting against it. Republicans unanimously voted against the American Rescue plan. Strange, that Republicans claim fiscal responsibility despite giving some of the wealthiest people on the planet a $1.9 trillion tax break – “fiscal responsibility” - typical right-wing propaganda. Republicans continually vote in favor of fossil fuels and against clean energy. Republicans claimed climate change wasn’t a “thing.” Then they claimed it wasn’t caused by humans. Now, there’s substantial proof that Republicans were lying about it from the start, just as they did when they claimed smoking won’t harm you. Fossil fuels are primary sponsors of the Republican Party. Republicans want to slash funding for the IRS to prevent the IRS from auditing and collecting taxes from wealthy tax cheats – the same tax cheats who sponsor the Republican Party - funny how that works. In some states, Republicans have banned books that have been in school libraries for at least decades, claiming kids shouldn’t be able to read things that might make them feel bad about our country. Well, our country has done some bad things and it’s important to educate kids so those same mistakes won’t be repeated in the future. Republicans have banned drag shows. They have no compassion for children whose sexual identity doesn’t match their plumbing. Republicans, through SCOTUS appointments ruled that women can’t have autonomy over their own bodies, and now they’ve given businesses the right to discriminate against people based on the business owners’ religious beliefs, and they’ve eliminated needed affirmative action which helped to level the playing field for minorities. Show me an environmental group, a labor organization, an equal rights group, a human rights group - all standing to benefit the masses, that support Republicans. Right...there aren't any. I have no doubt, you’ll make remarks contrary to what I’ve said while offering no evidence to prove me wrong. I was going to provide links to substantiate my claims, but you’ve never paid attention to links in the past so there’s no reason to think you’d pay attention to them now. Also, I couldn't care less about charitable gifts you claim you've made. First, you've never given any of us any reason to believe a word you say. You continue to say what I posted are lies yet when I ask for specifics, you offer nothing. You're the typical Right-wing poster who points and calls facts lies while not offering any truths in rebuttal. C'mon oldmontana , are you really so inept that you can't defend your position? Just explain what you think I said that are lies and maybe we'll have something to talk about, but to just call BS and then shut up makes it appear that you don't have a leg to stand on.

Women are always witchy because they can't say the "B" word. Trump is a vile, rude, obnoxious, richy rich, lying spoiled big baby. And yet he's adored. Why? He's a man. Period.
Sexism is alive and well if anybody doubts it I have a used car for sale. It's in great shape! Trust me.
