Louis DeJoy, could find himself in jail. what he doing is illegal. He should have legal counsel with him!
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump’s postmaster general on Monday agreed to testify before Congress next week on cuts in service that lawmakers fear could hamper the Postal Service’s ability to handle a flood of mail-in ballots in November’s election.
Hampering the mail is against state and federal law. Even without the election mail coming.
It's a criminal offense!

I'm betting Trump ends up not allowing him to testify.

As GOP scrambles, USPS workers blast Team Trump's recent changes
On Friday, DeJoy is reportedly now scheduled to testify at a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing -- an unexpected development given the fact that the upper chamber was supposed to be off until after Labor Day. The postmaster general and USPS Board of Governors Chairman Robert Duncan are also set to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Monday.
In case that weren't quite enough, Reps. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) and Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) yesterday asked the FBI to investigate whether DeJoy or any USPS official "committed any crimes in light of nationwide delays and issues" with the postal service. (It is a federal crime to willfully obstruct mail delivery.)
just another sigh tramp is a big mouth loser!

DeJoy scheduled to testify next Monday in front of House committee. So, he is now scheduled to testify in front of a Senate committee this Friday. The Trump ally led Senate committee will do everything they can to put DeJoy in a good light. Once he has testified to the mainly Republican committee, Trump will stop him from testifying in front of the Dem led House committee. This is just a set up in an attempt to make DeJoy look good.

Me thinks that Ms Pelosi should think about getting a deal on extending unemployment benefits as she is going to the expense of calling back US House members. Many do not have money to pay for their rent, etc. that is a huge problem. About two weeks Ms Pelosi was up in arms about the unemployed.
The USPS and the mail in ballots is not that as big a deal as she is making it. Registered voters get their ballot (in our case about six weeks before the election)... mail it in .. or if you do not trust the USPS bring it to the election headquarters.
In our city the USPS wants to take out several mail boxes that are little used...under 25 letters a day. I see that is a good way to save money and the USPS needs to save money.

USPS Postmaster General Louis DeJoy suspends delay-causing policy changes
tramp failed in his attempt to sabotage mail in voting.
Still his scare tactic about mail in voting are not good.
It would be good if the GOP was interest in a "Virus help bill" that would help the people, not tramp's wall.

Great idea, now if she could get the malingering, obstructionist Republicans to actually act on matters that would benefit the country, then that would be quite a feather for her cap.

State attorneys general sue Trump administration over Postal Service changes
Shapiro and Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson contend that DeJoy's changes were illegal because he skipped required procedures, including a public comment period. Ferguson, who filed Washington's lawsuit this afternoon, said 13 additional states, including the battlegrounds of Michigan and Wisconsin, signed on. They're suing President Trump, DeJoy and the USPS.
yep, the post office is not a MOM and Pop business, you can't just make changes on a whim.

What kind of fool would attack an American institution with a 90% approval rating?

What kind of fool would attack an American institution with a 90% approval rating? The same kind of fool who would give thousands of dollars to Trump's campaigns... and actually accept a job with this failing/flailing administration. DeJoy is a perfect example of someone quite intelligent but not very smart.

The Trump campaign donor, recently appointed as Postmaster General, says he will delay making any more changes/cuts to the USPS until "after the election". Got it....
Today, the SCOTUS announced they would begin hearing arguments on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act on November 10th. Got it...
There is almost a 90 day period between November 3rd's election and the January 20th inauguration. Biden wins the election. Trump tells his Postmaster General to completely wreck the USPS. Shut down ALL sorting machines. Retrieve ALL remote mail boxes. Cut staff and hours at post offices across the nation. Basically... shut down all mail delivery. By late November or early December the SCOTUS returns a decision that the ACA must be ended and replaced by another plan. Or... certain aspects need replacement or modified before the existing can be used. Trump has no plan whatsoever in store to replace the ACA. He will sit on his hands, laughing until his toupee falls off, while millions no longer have health insurance. Biden's team that takes over the last week of February will need to get the USPS back working ASAP. Even faster, they must get the ACA reinstated until a new plan can be thought through and run through Congress. As Trump is dragged down the steps of the Capitol, he is laughing the laugh of an insane person knowing well he has left the United States with no postal service and millions with no health insurance. Got it....

DeJoy's changes were illegal because he skipped required procedures, including a public comment period.
He can't just stop making changes, he must role back anything he did and after the election, If he is still there he needs to follow procedures.

Who will make him roll back the changes? Senate? Nope! They sure aren't going to do anything that will spite Trump... even if he is a lame duck. House? Nope! They've been spineless since the impeachment. No way to get anything through the Senate. No desire, it seems, to do more than write letters and make speeches about Trump and his corruption. Until Trump is physically removed from the White House in January 2021, he will still do as he pleases with zero consequences. The only hope is that we can flip the Senate and keep the House. That would see both houses of Congress able to do something after the first week in January... if they will. When Trump loses the election, he is fully aware everything he has touched will be investigated by the Biden administration. I don't think he is smart enough to cover his tracks. He is corrupt enough to take down as much of the government as he can before leaving. I still think he will begin by firing any and all of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who would participate in his physical removal from the White House. He will leave those positions vacant, retaining only one or two who would follow his orders.
