This seems to be the new trend. Using the words "sweetie" and "honey" seems to be trending. It has happened to me a couple of times recently. I grew up in Cincinnati OH where the sales people in stores and the waitresses in restaurants called everyone "Hon." So it doesn't bother me.

Today's gripe.....
Phony people. People who pretend to be someone/something they're not. Met a few of them over the last few days.

Today's gripe.....
Phony people. People who pretend to be someone/something they're not. Met a few of them over the last few days. Haven't met any of those lately, but I know what you mean. There are plenty of them on TV talk shows. My gripe today is something I've complained about in the past. .... opening new food containers. This morning I had to use a pair of pliers to lift up the foil cover inside a new coffee container. No way could I pull that little tab with my fingers!

chinadoll1981 Are there any ordinances against having a pig for a pet, where you live? Actually, we zoned residential/agricultural so pig can be kept It is a micro pig or called Teacup Pig which mean will no grow bigger than 100 lbs but still a pig! But at present I will have to admit he cute little fellow and very friendly. He likes being petted and took small apple from me crunching with piggy delight. I hope when I make garden this year he no tempted to explore beyond our fence

When Rebecca return from trip she will have surprise on face!! Sigh Don't you live in a city? I'm surprised a pig is allowed for a pet. Hope it doesn't smell too bad when warm weather comes. I thought pigs only smelled yucky when they wallowed in mud. Hope its one of those small ones that lives inside the home. (Just saw that others have asked the same question.)

I used to live in city in Capitol Hill historic district near the Capitol Building I now rent out my home to graduate student I live with Rebecca and we live in area which is more spacious and open. Area used to be farming area but now partly residential still zoned for agricultural trust area. It is small one, he not grow huge I not mind as long as they keep area clean They are good neighbors so should no be problem!

My gripe is about workers who make an appointment at 10:00 then call at 10:00 and tell you they're going to be an hour or two late. That just happened! Really? You didn't know that an hour or two ago? When I make an appointment with a pet sitting client I tell them I'll be there around 12:00 noon or shortly thereafter, and if I'm going to be late I'll call them and let them know. I know spit happens. Traffic changes like the weather. But sometimes I get the feeling you knew you'd be late and waited until the appointment time to tell me. I changed my plans for you and you casually blew me off! That's rude and makes me very angry! Do I sound angry? lol.
Ruby, I have a knife and a scissor in the kitchen. In the Winter I get open cuts on my thumbs and other finger tips. Fighting with foil or plastic just makes them worse. I use a knife or scissor to cut the foil or plastic covers completely off including that stupid little tab. I also have to use a knife to pry up the lid on cat food.
