Sorry! I'm out for today/tonight. Will be back tomorrow. Had carpet cleaners in today to do our home. Moving furniture last night and early this morning. He finished up about noon, but the carpets were/are still pretty damp. Had my laptop where I couldn't get to it until they dried some. Also, wifey had some outside projects she was fairly insistent on me accomplishing. See ya tomorrow!!!

Haven’t got time to play games today , cause we are going to a lunch time dance that’s walking distance from our abode ……but we are gonna be playing games at the dance cause last time we went there we got moved on by 4 different people saying ( we must feel like a stir to think about going ) way back in 2017 ~ 2019 it got soooo bad no ….SA visitors would attended the venue ….but many of those who came up to QLD during winter are now to old to dance anymore ….one such couple are now 101 Ray & Marj is 100 years old he used to tell them ..he paid at the door and he will sit where he wants to … They have this thing about seating …and as a visitor you don’t dare sit in someone’s seat they’ve had for 10 years ….or more oh no ….they can’t cope if a visitors sits in their seat …. We haven’t been to this particular venue since about 2019 so we may be leaving before it even starts …….if we have to sit on the floor will let ya know if we survive

From my knowledge it is fairly typical of some senior citizen's groups. Very set in their ways and very rude. Hope it is more enjoyable this time for you Dusty.

The dance I mentioned this morning , we had not been to since covid raised its ugly head , and what a very pleasant surprise it was great ( different people running the dance ) strict about bullying.
We really enjoyed the dance, and oh boy , I’ve got sore knees and feet tonite from dancing about 30 different dances , ranging from foxtrots to rumbas

Some of the rural churches used to be that way. Certain pews "belonged" to the people who had sat in them for years. If you were a visitor and happened to sit in one of those pews, you were told to move.
And, yes, old folks can get cantankerous!!!

I have a Apple Watch and it claims I had 3 1/2 hours deep sleep last night so I must have been totally worn out from dancing , cause I never get that much deep sleep I’m lucky if it get 1.1/2 hours deep sleep .
While at the dance we were informed our dancing friend Ray who turned 100 last had Aug passed away , his wife of 79 years is still going well , she’s turned 100 this month . ( they live in Adelaide)
They were still dancing up until Marg tripped and cracked her hip about 12 months ago

Sending condolences to you Dusty . I know Ray was a very dear friend to you. Thanks joybelle I’ve just spoken to the club where we dance in Adelaide , apparently he tripped and fell and broke his ribs resulting in his death . Ray and Marg used to come up to ( Coolangatta ) Qld each year for 3 months , he was a returned service man and they have holiday units up here for little cost for those who served (RSL ) so they always took advantage of escaping the cold winter months. We always had a big party for his birthday at a huge golf club right on a huge river at Tweed Heads , it was always lots of fun/ laughter. He always drove up here so they had their car to get around to dances. They both survived a case of Covid, only to taken by a fall …sad 😔

joybelle, Dusty had to get a head start on Games last night rather than wait and do all this morning. Up @4:30 a.m. Shower, shave, make waffle for breakfast, coffee catch up on the Games, go fill the wife's car with gas and leave here soon after 6:00 to make my 7:00 tee time at the golf course. Whew! I go early a.m. to fill the wife's car since the pumps aren't crowded. Filling her car with gas has always been my job. Neither of us can remember a single time she's put gas in her car in the entire years we've been married! Another hot one today. Supposed to see triple digit "F" heat index again today. No golf, yesterday, so got lawn mowed and trimmed early and stayed inside the rest of the day. Will stay inside today, once back from the golf course.

Woke up at 2:30 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep. So, decided to work on Forum Games. Bleary eyed, so if you find a few errors, I apologize in advance. Now, I'm going back to bed!
No golf today since the course doesn't open until 10 a.m. Supposed to be 97 degrees by noon with a heat index in the triple digits. Not worth dying from heat exhaustion just to swing at a few golf balls!!
