I recall very specifically during the 2008 campaign examining McCain's stated positions with that of Obama. There were few differences. I had never heard
of Obama, but had been looking for an 'excuse' to vote for McCain for years. Had it not been for his pick of Palin as running mate, he would have had my
vote. Me, too. The idea of Sarah Palin being one heartbeat away from the presidency was more than I could stomach. Agree. It wasn't McCain I objected to as president - although I'd never vote Republican - it was that moron Palin being a heartbeat away.

But the idea of any remote possibility of her becoming president was so scary!!!

I just watched the services for Senator McCain in Arizona....what a heartwarming and personable service it was....all of the speakers did a great job, told inspirational and funny stories about him.

It's funny today, I was sleeping late, had the tv on and then at some point I started dreaming I was attending attening the funeral. I recall crying and being a little upset at some of his younger family members as they were dancing and not acting in what I thought was appropriate behavior at such a somber event. Some were even wearing weird clothing. I think I just got my news and tv shows mix in together. CNN or MSNBC was on in the background as I was dreaming, so, I imagine that's what brought on the dream in the first place.
With all the crazy in my dream, over all, the funeral in my dream was still lovely and well attended, though I don't recall who else was there by name other than myself.

Rosa, they say that everyone in our dreams is a part of ourselves. It may have been your own funeral you were thinking about, even if the dream said it was someone else's.

Rosa, they say that everyone in our dreams is a part of ourselves. It may have been your own funeral you were thinking about, even if the dream said it was someone else's. I'm gonna say no on the thinking about my own funeral this time as McCain's was on my mind as was the last thing I was listening to on tv was about his funeral and it was what I woke to. I am not going to have a funeral, I will haunt anyone that even tries to give me one. I don't even want a wake. Pick my body up, from wherever it is cremate it, dump it. My dreams and fantasies about my body disposal always involve a burning and the cheapest way possible. If I could do it myself I would as to avoid any fees. I think if you haven't already had your say by now, keep it to yourself, my dead body doesn't much care. Go mourn on your own free time in the privacy of your own home, not by lining funeral personnel pockets. Selfish, maybe. I personally hate funerals, so why force people to go through something I hate going through myself. I'm not kidding. I should mention, sleeping a lot again due to taking the antihistamines for another attack of hives all over which better be gone before next week when I'm supposed to go on my beach trip. I can't stay awake for long periods of time when I take zyrtec

I watched all the services for McCain, although I disagreed with some of his politics, I can't recall being so touched and moved by the speakers, the music and the respect.... the whole affair was very well done.....anyway not since JFK's death.

I watched McCain's funeral - it brought tears to my eyes. In a way, I thought the whole thing was an indirect way for McCain and the country he loved to flip trump off. It cheered me up considerably. Trump was really pushed out of joint at the idea of so much pomp and ceremony for a non president.

Let's see.... It's January 2019. The Republicans have held onto the majorities in both houses of Congress. Pence develops a conscience and resigns as Vice President. The 25th Amendment allows a President to choose the replacement for Pence. That choice needs confirmed by Congress. Trump chooses Palin to replace Pence. Congress, by a single vote, confirms. Can you imagine the SNL skits??? Can you imagine the resounding guffaws from our allies? Palin could sit on her front porch and hear the laughing coming from the Kremlin. After all, she said she could see it!! How's that for giving you guys nightmares...…….
