The court should just declare that map that the 8th grade class made as the official one.

I'm just blown away by the depth of corruption the GOP has sunk too this century. One always expects a certain level of corruption in politics, but the recent blatant and unapologetic corruption of the GOP is mind boggling. It's like they've gone Batsh*t crazy with power/the quest for power. The current political climate in Washington seems to have brought all the human cockroaches out of the cracks.

My prediction is that these maps will be just as bogus as the ones they submitted before. Yep, I agree. Was just reading about this online. Again, just the Republicans drew up the new map. Wolf will go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Now, State Rep. Cris Dush circulated a letter to House colleagues Monday urging the ouster of five justices who ruled that the legislature must redraw Pennsylvania's gerrymandered maps.
Our recently departed Governor... thank goodness... who is now on the "Trump Team" kept trying to cut funding to our schools below acceptable levels. Our State Supreme Court stepped in. So, Brownback and our GOP Legislature passed legislation. If the Supreme Court of Kansas ruled anything the Legislature did as unconstitutional, all funding for the Court would be immediately shut down. Of course, even that legislation was unconstitutional and was quickly ruled as so. The GOP has become so blatantly hypocritical in their attitude towards the Courts. If a court disagrees with a GOP politician, we have the tirades such as Trump and his condemning a very qualified judge for his heritage. We have the goings on in Kansas trying to override the Courts and now in Pennsylvania. Yet, they stand and applaud and cheer when the, now GOP biased, SCOTUS majority rules in their favor. Currently, our State Supreme Court is reviewing a case which would align with Rowe v. Wade. So, the GOP Legislature is moving quickly to pass legislation that states... No matter what findings a Court has in regards to our State Constitution and the United States Constitution, abortion in the State of Kansas is illegal.

Most certainly worried! It's an "old boys clubs" with a few "little old ladies" tossed in... none wanting to lose their influence to a bunch of young "whippersnappers". My goodness! If a teen were to get elected and actually be able to do the job, wouldn't more and more youth begin voting for youth and 'there goes the neighborhood'. Two quick things... 1.) The current list of candidates is long. There are something like 10 or 12 Democrats and a half-dozen Republicans committed. A debate was held, yesterday, and all candidates were invited. The Democratic candidates and one... ONE Republican candidate participated. All the other GOP candidates took a pledge to NOT participate in any debate where they could not control the questions and designate who would be asking the questions. Message: Don't ask us the tough questions that might expose our hypocrisy or hidden agenda. 2.) Honestly, I was disappointed in some of the interviews of the teen candidates after the debate. I was unable to watch the debate live and have not had time since. The two I saw interviewed were noticeably lacking in knowledge of our system and government in general. (Of course we have a POTUS that is "lacking".) There are a couple good Democratic candidates. The hype of the teens needs to get pushed aside so we can get behind a single ELECTABLE candidate. It is almost a given that we will see Kobach come out of the primary as the Republican candidate. Even with his racially biased voter suppression tactics and, just yesterday, finding that he is on the Board of Directors of a scam charity using veterans as the suggested beneficiary... but seeing little money going to support veterans... the Republicans in Kansas love him. He has the Koch money behind his campaign. He has been the champion of the racists. He could well be the next Governor of Kansas.

Thanks. To me this is a huge issue. It's one of the main ways Republicans have rigged the system so that they can hold the House of Representatives while representing only a minority of the voters. They are obviously pulling out all the stops on this one because they know if they can't cheat, they can't win. Unfortunately the Senate has a built in bias that favors them as does the electoral college. But it still would be good if they had to play on a level field in the house races.

I feel the new map is fair and I hope it will stick. Fair?
Now that right there is the problem I have with the Democrats. The Republicans cheated, lied, connived, and schemed tp gain a grotesquely unfair electoral advantage and when the Democrats managed to turn the table where do they move th needle too? Fair.
Are you kidding me? When you turn the tables on a lying cheating scheming opponent you do not go for "Fair". You go for Blood!

I'm no blood sucker. The map had been in the favor of Republicans for years. With what the court drew up, I'd consider this map to be fair.
