No it doesn't.. Like I said,, it matter's how we live our lives that matter. matter of fact,, I;m not baptized into any religion. I practice my own. Spirituality via honor. Nice way to say, I like that... but Buddhists do not have a creator god....so again... I in left field but it okay!! lots of daisies out here It doesn't matter that Buddhists do not have a creator god. The simple fact,,, Buddhism is the most peaceful and accepting of all nature things, and we as humans are part of nature. My mom and dad created me and guess what,,, I believe in reincarnation.

why u bring politics into religion? i don’t like catholics because most of them are only christian on sundays. no,,,im not evangelical. just a God fearing christian. Exactly HOW do you know that most Catholics are only Christian on Sundays? The word "CHRISTIAN" does NOT mean evangelical.... It simply means anyone who follows the teachings of Christ and accepts Christ as the Savior.. It's really as simple as that.. I'm sick and tired of the Fundamentalists claiming to have a corner on that word. As for bringing politics into religion.. From where I sit it's the Evangelicals who have done that by Stumping on the Pulpit and infiltrating the Republican party and trying to elect candidates that are willing to legislate social issues near and dear to the Fundie's hearts... Of course the Constitutional mandate of separation of church and state be damned. sister,,,I know what the word christian means. haven’t seen many “christians” around lately,,,,,,especially in some of the threads ive been reading here. are christians supposed to hate? are christians supposed to put down and look down upon someone who is different or thinks differently? what were some of the words that I have read many times in reference to a certain potus,,,,,,,,,ahhhh,,,,,moron, inept a$$, assh**e,,,,,and lets not forget f-tard, yeah,,,,let ye without sin cast the first stone,,, did you grow up in a predominantly catholic neighborhood like I did? were those that weren’t catholic in your neighborhood chastised and ostracized for being of a protestant religion like they were in my neighborhood? eyes wide shut i see,,,

But it didn't bother me.. because even as a child, I suspected it was all bull$hit.. so I thought it was kind of funny.. It appears you take this nonsense way to seriously.. As for the fake Potus? It's like an infinite line of numbers, with zero dividing the positive from the negative....and God being zero...without zero, there can't be any numbers. Zero created one, and then two, and on and on.....without the ultimate consciousness, no one attains enlightenment. Enlightenment must be created like everything else. The line of numbers also represents order. You can't be reincarnated twice, without first being reincarnated the first time. God=creation. Creation created everything that exists. It more form of devotion to Buddha and Bodhisattvas but not with expectation anyone is listening! I pray to connect with compassion, discover inner self and obtain an awakened state. My faith it teach that everything depends on everything else...all part of whole, that present events are caused by past events and become the cause of future events. That the power of buddhanature. or in other terms, locates divine within life of individual practitioner not to a god. Buddha was not a god, but a man who achieved the awakened state, we pray deep within ourselves to find guidance to help ourselves become enlightened too. The beginning of this world and of life is inconceivable since they have neither a beginning nor an ending. There is no reason to suppose that the world had a beginning at all. The idea that things must have a beginning is because of our own device to have categorize what a beginning must be because we want explanation about world. The Chinese believe in cycles, that life continually works in cycle of birth death rebirth called Saṃsāra and see space time as cyclical. Existence is endless because individuals are reincarnated over and over again, experiencing suffering throughout many lives. One idea that hard to understand is concept of impermanence. All things are impermanent because no object or state, good qualities or bad ones, lasts forever. Our mistaken belief that things can last is a chief cause of suffering which many find difficult to understand and accept.. Easy way to remember...all possessions are fleeting as Buddha taught us...no fixed or permanent things and change always possible which leads to...... nothing stay same! Very easy to be Buddhist... no worry over someone "watching you" in Heaven... no concept of divine creator......

Thousands of years ago there weren't even a billion people...now there is almost seven billion people...many new souls. There are two kinds of energy, positive and negative energy. Positive energy creates, negative energy destroys. But the positive energy had to create the negative energy, otherwise it would not exist. Creation creates everything that exists. That's why, on that infinite line of numbers, from zero it goes positive numbers on one side of zero, and negative numbers on the other side of zero. So does our souls...eventually into pure positive energy...unless you choose the negative energy. That's hell.

The Dali lama speaks of the soul.... He explored the concept of a soul, which in the Buddhist tradition, cannot be viewed separately from the body and mind, but also cannot be said to have a beginning or an end. The talk revolved around what he called the three fundamental questions: What is the “I”? Does it have a beginning? Does it have an end? “This, my body, now is over 70 years old,” he said, but it is not the same body he had as a child. Just as the body has changed, so has the mind. Even on the atomic level, the physical self is in constant flux. The self exists due to the body and mind, yet “we could trace material continuity of our body to conception, and then back to the big bang. We can find material causes of our body even at the beginning of the universe,” he said. Buddhism calls on its followers to recognize the self as impermanent as “an antidote to reduce extreme self-centeredness.” Other religions have different beliefs, but aim towards a similar effect by different . . . In each case, the philosophical framework serves to move the faithful away from self-absorption. Yet, he said, there are contradictions between religions and within religions. Buddhism has multiple sects, and the world’s major religions have different notions of an afterlife, soul and creator. This serves the purpose of addressing the “different mental dispositions” of the world’s people. “There are six billion human beings. Just one religion is simply not sufficient,” he said. Becoming educated about other religions helps to develop tolerance without undermining faith, because understanding and belief are different, he said. “All people in this room should know (about other religions), so we can develop respect for all traditions. But faith is a different thing. I’m Buddhist, my faith is Buddhist,” he said, yet that doesn’t keep him from respecting other traditions or seeing similarities. For most people, it is best to keep to the faith of their birth, he said, because they have a deeper understanding of it. A few people may be convinced that another religion suits them better and may be moved to practice it seriously, but for most, “it’s very important to keep one’s own tradition.” www.american.edu/americantoday/campus-news/101209-dalai-lama-bender.cfmWe are not always reincarnated into the same religion.....that's is so as to learn the lessons of other religions, because the ultimate consciousness created all religions. To gain enlightenment, is to learn all the truths.

To gain enlightenment, is to learn all the truths. the Dali Lama is a Tibetan Buddhist...very different from Ch'an Buddhist. I respect him and his faith but one size do not fit all... there are many schools of thought and of which the Tibetan traditions are different from others , just as in Christian faiths, there are different belief in each.... as I say I respect the Dali Lama but as I respect all other beliefs, but I see them as mistaken. In Ch'an Buddhism, mostly the practitioner relies on himself or herself to obtain enlightenment through meditation not through rituals as in Tibetan traditions of chanting and performing rituals. Buddhism itself in all it's forms rejects the idea of an omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent creator god. Rebirth is in multiples until reaching ultimate Nirvana. Buddha is a central figure of Ch'an thought and believed to exist in another realm and is able to help humans although not heavily relied on or acts in the traditional role of a "god" Ch'an Buddhism is actually a combination of both Buddhist thoughts and Taoism. As for the concept of soul... buddhanature is to be devoid of all concepts of the self and identity, as well as birth, death, time, space.... in other words.... no soul.
