I am getting very tired of Populist politics, It's like going into a bar at the end of the night and asking for political plans?
No depth of thought, that will that do to people?
They say stupid stuff, like they will make the US more affordable ?
The Government does not make things, affordable or not, that is up to the free enterprise system!
If we had no taxes, thing would cost more because, the people would have more money to spend, and the free enterprise system would adjust.
They talk about being tough around, the world, and cutting government, and not giving aid, to your fiends to fighting your enemies?
How can we be tough around the world, if we only give US people help?
They just want power, to help their rich friends, they will say anything, they think the people like?
It's all contradictory, no depth of thought!!!

A guy at the gym wants to talk politics with me. He is a FOX fan, so I'm thinking that discussing politics with him would be an exercise in futility and frustration. My first thought is to decline, but my second thought is "why not", I won't try to debate specific issues, but will explain that if one party shuns the facts in favor of fantasy, there's really no room for discussion.

It's all a dialogue already written. The words change a little from day to day. Or, the personalities change. But, there is little change from month to month, year to year.
GOP: In no way say anything that will offend the former guy. He holds the almighty stick that will get me primaried if I dare loose my tongue.
Either yourself of your aides MUST listen to prime time Fox News daily. Cliff notes MUST be given to me immediately thereafter. I MUST use those talking points since the Fox News personalities are the disciples of the former guy.
There are a very few issues that are most important to our donors and those who vote for us. We must keep those issues on the front page no matter what else happens in our Country or the world. Abortion. Immigration over the Southern border. Tax relief for our donors...the wealthy. Cutting funds for poor, needy, senior citizens...anyone who cannot make sizable donations to our campaigns.
Democrats: Speak softly. Never raise your voice in opposition to the GOP. If you do have a snit fit, stay away from the mic for a few days and maybe you'll be forgiven.
NEVER rally your Party's elected officials to "gang up" on the GOP. That's not polite.
NEVER rally voters to support other Democrats or even the sitting POTUS. That's being too pushy.
Speak softly about voters' rights, women's rights, and separation of Church from State. Just don't hold Congressional votes or anything that might seem objectionable and impolite.
Remember, many of the wealthy donors supporting our Republican friends also support us through Citizens United. Don't tell anyone. Don't admit to it. They will bring other candidates forward to primary you if we upset them.

The trouble is, Fox News is not the worst. I was flipping though the news channels, and one said, the only way to fix government, is to kill some of them?

There are a number of renegade talk shows/podcasts that suggest violence. Why are they allowed to continue? Free speech? Freedom of press?? NewsMax, etc. on tv are almost as bad.
