Bob Barker died at the age of 99. He was the host of the game show The Price Is Right for 35 years. He was also involved with animal rights and a down to earth guy. At a protest many years ago he and I held hands as we marched down 5th Avenue in NYC. He was friendly, real and a good looking guy. You'd never know he was a celebrity. May he rest in peace. He will be missed.

You held hands with Bob Barker? I'm impressed. Sounds like he was a down-to-earth type of guy.
The closest I ever came to a celebrity was when I saw Prince glide by me on a motorized cart at the Minneapolis airport. At first I didn't recognize him. He was a small person and he was wearing a bright blue jumpsuit.
But you held Bob Barker's hand. Wow! I'm impressed.

Well, I don't want to brag or anything but President Carter told me he liked the cap I was wearing at a book signing. I took it off and asked him if he wanted it. Security suddenly appeared, he laughed, thanked me and said it looks good on me.
That was the second time that day I was a person of interest to security. The first time was when I was in line waiting to get in the book store. The canine unit was very interested in what was in my pocket and wouldn't stop sniffing.
I was a pet sitter back then and always had dog biscuits in my pockets.
Ruby, Prince counts as a celebrity sighting even if he glided by.

I'm even more impressed by your interaction with Pres. Carter. What kind of hat were you wearing?

It was a tan cap that had small zippers on each side. I never put anything in the zippers. Who knew that cap would have given me the opportunity to have a chat with a president? He was very friendly and had a nice smile.
