Foyle's War
Christopher Foyle is a Detective Chief Superintendent in the Hastings Police. It is 1940 and England has its back to the wall in the war against Germany. With this constant threat as a backdrop, plus having to deal with political interference and prioritisation of the military, Foyle quietly goes about doing what he does best: solving murders.
It's a nice little touch to have a beautiful, smart, young women, drive Foyle around as he does not drive a car. You get to see ww2 from the Brits side, as well as, guess to clues, of the murder.

Good series. We watched this years ago. I think there is still the final season that we haven't watched.
