Sheesh! Had pretty well sworn off spicy foods. Have found, lately, I'm migrating back!! Just picked up some spicy beans at ALDI's. Picked up a jar of jalapenos. Why? WHY??

Had a can of recently purchased spicy chipotle beans with some pork roast for supper. All very tasty, even though quite spicy. "Spicy" does not mean... to me... losing the taste of the dish. In so many cases, I believe it enhances the taste. I love General Tso's chicken prepared in an Asian restaurant. I enjoy some of the spicier dishes at Mexican restaurants. OTOH, I don't pour tabasco or other hot sauces on my food. It needs to be cooked in with the dish to, as I said, enhance it. I know this may be blasphemy, but I despise barbeque dishes. Enjoy ribs... if 'naked'. Won't add barbeque sauce to anything. Would vote against going out to a barbeque restaurant. Most of the barbeque, to me, is entirely too sweet. That sweet flavor overpowers the taste of the meat.
