Maybe someone here can relate. I get it that MOST here don't have health issues but maybe this one hits home. I've had a nodule on my ONE index finger, left hand for years. It remained the same for a lot of years but in the last year or so has grown and more out of shape -- it's so obvious how it's grown, but it hardly hurts..a bit stiff but I flex it a lot.
On one of my arthritis labs I showed some RA factor number but RA is not my main issue, it's OA, bodywide..and I didn't think nodules came with OA...but the body is so complex.
Just making conversation, trying to anyway.

More than likely they are Herberden's and Bouchard's nodes related to OA. I have them, most of the members of my family have had them. I was diagnosed with them years ago. They can grow and deform more. The diagram below is similar to what my hands and thumb joints look like. An x ray will confirm the issue.

No, I don't think a cyst, never thought that one, my mom had a lot of them. She did a lot of quilting and used her hands a lot probably starting in her later 50's and got more and more...it's interesting I only have 1.
