This last week has been one hell of a week!
The madness started Monday when I dropped my violin. Fortunately I dropped it only a short distance on my drawing table, but it fell on the strings and dislodged the bridge. I put it back until I could take it the the violin shop the next day. The placement of them is pretty touchy. Anyway while i was waiting for them to open the next day (Tuesday), I got to thinking (now there's trouble) I've been thinking for a few months of upgrading to a little better violin and now seemed like a good time. I looked up what they had available and found one a step up at a reasonable price. I traded in the old violin and went home with a new one a step up. I really like this one - the tone is better and I can use a regular shoulder rest.
On Wednesday I had a dental appointment - for cleaning - good news there - have graduated from every 3 month cleaning to 4 months. After that I had a session with Paige, my trainer at the gym ((still trying to do PT on my L hip and shoulder - I go twice a week.) After I got home from that, on my way into the living room, I managed to trip over the little fence I use to keep Lily from going down the hall into the bedrooms. I was in my absent-minded-professor mode - not watching where I was going and fell forward onto my left knee and arm, so now my L side hurts more than ever ( and I was making good progress on it.) Actually I hurt all over at this point.
Thursday I woke up with a runny nose and marathon non stop sneezing accompanied by coughing and of course muscle soreness from my fall. It was mostly gone Friday (thinking allergies?), but the muscle soreness was worse. I called Paige and asked if it would be all right to just do a half hour and went in spite of my muscle soreness. It was even worse Saturday - I felt like I'd been run over - no energy.
On Monday I was still sore all over, but less so. :) - which was a good thing since Lily managed to slip out of the fenced area in the living room and made a dash out the front dare while I was talking to someone who knocked on the door. It took me quite a while to walk her down. It really scared me as there are sometimes cars going down our street very fast. You don't dare run after her - not only does she move like greases lightning, but she loves it when you chase her and goes even faster. Every once in a while I get careless and she gets access to one of my tissues. She's in 7th heaven when I have to chase after her so she doesn't eat it. LOL She's such a little character.
