The entire nature of a close ally is that you work together to find ways to be in sync without resorting to threats.”
While proponents of Trump’s coercive style say it has produced results, critics contend that it has hurt American leadership in the world and cost the United States some trust and goodwill among friends.
Veteran diplomats and analysts argue that Trump shows a dangerous lack of understanding about why U.S. troops are in allied countries — noting the main point is to protect American interests and project power.

The world is weary of Trump and his bullying.

Wait....... you mean he actually HAS a foreign policy?????? If that's what they want to call it. F.U.B.A.R is what I call it. Look back in history. It's said that George Washington said, stay out of foreign affairs, but don't take your eyes off. Something like that anyways. Reason he said that over 200 years ago ? Look what's in the White House now! He knew back then, someone in the distant future would come along and screw everything up.

That is exactly correct most are hoping he gets tossed out Including the majority population here. If the impeachment trial isn't held like a Judicial trial, then tossed out is out the window. Only thing left is the electoral college. Lets hope they don't make the same mistake again.

A Scary thought; Members of the electoral college CAN go against the candidate they were supposed to be committed to (if I remember right) I wouldn't put past the trump machine to bribe some of these people to cast their vote for trump rather than the candidate they are suppose to

Unfortunately, that would not surprise me. I'm very afraid that there is no low to which trump and the swamp dwellers in Washington would not sink to

Sorry but the United States has exhibited strong-arm foreign policy since the end of W W II. Why else would we have nearly 800 military bases in more than 70 countries? And we have flexed the military muscle whenever someone in Washington (usually a Republican president) thinks its a good idea: think Reagan, 1983 and the invasion of Grenada. However, most of our bases have been a benign presence ............. until they are not!
Forceful meddling in the affairs of other countries is also common, especially if that country has a natural resource that an American company would like to control.
Trump is simply using the resources at hand to accomplish his will but he lacks the finesse of his predecessors. But unlike most of his predecessors, TRump is blatntly using them for personal gain.
