Iran does not have to do a thing, just thinking about what they can do has the upper ups panties in a knot.

War is a inefficient means of resolving conflict Trump is blustery and macho over a situation I do no believe he has any real concept of how serious it is He like bully pushing on another till the other strikes him in the nose We most likely will experience a retaliatory action we don’t want but Trump set all in motion... just so he could divert attention away from impeachment He say that it was eminent that Soleimani was going to do something YET he no present ANY evidence that was true in any way.... trouble with Trump is he lie so so much even if he tell truth he look like he lying.

Iran's Qassem Soleimani killed in US air raid at Baghdad airportGeneral Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force and architect of its regional security apparatus, has been killed following a US air raid at Baghdad's international airport on Friday. The White House and the Pentagon confirmed the killing of Soleimani in Iraq, saying the attack was carried out at the direction of US President Donald Trump and was aimed at deterring future attacks allegedly being planned by Iran. Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has condemned the killing as an "act of international terrorism." "The US bears responsibility for all consequences of its rogue adventurism." Iraqi officials and the state television reported that aside from Soleimani, Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis was also killed in the pre-dawn raid. How does killing this one person deterring future attacks allegedly being planned by Iran. Iran would be more likely to do the attacks if they were set-up to go?
Are all Generals fair game now. How about other Government personal.

“We are in uncharted territory, and the truth of the matter is nobody knows how Iran is going to respond. I don’t think even Iran knows,” Mr. Ostovar said. “But I think there is a blood lust right now in the Revolutionary Guards.”
You real sure this guy's death was that important.

"It was time."
I've heard no one, Republican or Democrat suggest this was not a sworn enemy of the United States and a driver behind terrorist activity. If you get stung by a hornet, do you take a flyswatter and smack him on the side of the hornet's nest? From all appearances, this appears to be totally an opportunity for Trump to move the headlines from impeachment to something else... even if that is another loss of U.S. military members in an extended Mid East war. What is the plan when Iran retaliates? Shred more international law... and U.S. law by destroying cultural sites that date back centuries? Do we kill thousands of Iranian citizens... women and children... just to further the election of a wanna be tyrant here? So far, we have angered more and more of our allies. Was this the plan? So far, we have jeopardized the lives of all our high ranking military commanders and our State Department people the world over. Was this the plan? So far, we have now seen the Iraqi Parliament vote to demand all U.S. military leave their country. Was this the plan? So far, we have emboldened Islamic terrorist groups throughout the Mid East, Europe, Africa... and the U.S. Was this the plan? We, the American people, are now more endangered by domestic terrorism, Islamic terrorism, Russian aggression, and lack of support from global allies in any conflict than ever before in history... Thanks to a rogue, mentally unstable elected official with his fingers on the nuclear button. And... a Republican majority in the Senate who would rather see us lose our freedoms and liberties than lose their next election or lose the support of their wealthy campaign donors.
"It was time"! It IS time to remove this danger to our life and liberty from the White House. Greed, money, egos, and an complete lack of integrity stand in the way. It IS time!

Why? What's your reasoning for your comment? He was a killer of Americans and was listed as a terrorist by Obama. He was trying to kill more Americans. It might have been easier to have let him go on killing us and others but I think we are better off with him dead. Its hard to understand that Soleimani is considered a hero in his homeland...it tells a lot about how they think...scary. One Democrat said "right decision wrong president" .. says a lot about the divide in our country.

I am up in the air about this act. I also wonder why now? My hope is that rump is privy to intelligence that we don't know, and there was some compelling reason to take the guy at this time. I can promise that there will be repercussions, so will the act be worth it if it triggers another 9/11? I ran is a patient foe.Twenty years is nothing to wait for retribution.

My thoughts ... I don't know enough about the man to make an intelligent decision. We can only hope the decision was made for the right reasons.
Why now? Either trying to engage in war because Americans are reluctant to change leadership in times of war OR just another bright and shiny thing to distract us from impeachment hearings
Destroying cultural heritage sites ANYWHERE in the world is A despicable act and that is what is threatened.
