I worked for Jane many yrs ago in her video company when she got millions off their butts and moving. She's an inspiration in my life and even headed the Rent Control in our city with her then husband Tom Hayden, which was modeled after the Boston R.C. It's still in place from the early 70's. If not my apt would be 4-5x's more costly...don't know where I'd be living. www.washingtonian.com/2019/10/25/jane-fonda-ted-danson-got-arrested-outside-of-the-capitol/And she and Tom were and she still remains Anti War.

I'm with you, Joymarty! I respect Jane Fonda and appreciate all she has done, and continues to do, to make up for poor choices she made in her youth. Let he that is without sin cast the first stone.
It's interesting that she is the only one who is constantly and relentlessly bashed. Is it because she's a woman? A beautiful woman? Did she start that war? Did she send people over there? Does anyone honestly believe her reason for going over there was to put our people in harm's way? Honestly?
She's the perfect scape goat. Anybody else make a mistake or 2 when you were young? Is it constantly shoved in your face even at 80?
How come she's the only one?
Maybe if she had bone spurs on her widdle footsies she would get more respect. Or, if she "fell in love" with a dictator or two.
And no I've never been there. However I had twin brothers and one was in Vietnam while the other was in Korea.
Btw, anti war is not anti American. It's anti killing and getting killed. You know that "give peace a chance" thing.

people have differing opinions about jane. Most likely a LOT of do nothing people!!!! And as birdgal said "she didn't start any war"....we know who pushes the War Buttons and sends the young men and women to wars...our town has a VietNam memorial that contains 58,000 names of those who died in this tragedy.

I admire Jane Fonda and agree with birdgal . I had read about her protests in D.C. and find it admirable. (Wish I had the plane fare to go there weekly and protest.)

Hanoi Jane. www.washingtonian.com/2019/10/25/jane-fonda-ted-danson-got-arrested-outside-of-the-capitol/Part of the link.. For the third week in a row, Jane Fonda has been arrested in front of the Capitol after protesting without a permit. This week, Ted Danson joined her. Fonda recently moved to DC to protest every Friday until January as part of “Fire Drill Fridays,” an effort she organized to demand action from Congress on the Green New Deal. The past two Fridays she has been arrested for civil disobedience on the steps of the Capitol and it seems likely she’ll continue to bring other celebs, too: Last week, it was Grace and Frankie co-star Sam Waterston by Fonda’s side. It’s likely Fonda and Danson will be released today. Since this is her third offense, there’s a chance Fonda could be kept longer, but she’s prepared to stay the night if necessary, according to Fonda’s publicist. =================================================== There is civil way to protest...she was arrested for civil disobedience. She was and is a great actress...its sad that she can not obey our laws. Green New Deal ... What is the cost of green New Deal? In February 2019, the centre-right American Action Forum, estimated that the plan could cost between $51–$93 trillion over the next decade. They estimate its potential cost at $600,000 per household. Numbers ... $60,000 a year per household! So it high how about ONLY $30,00 per household? Ready for that? Think what it would do to our economy. Get real ...we are doing much to reduce our use of fossil fuels but we will need oil for Air Planes and other uses for years and then there is clean burning natural gas which we are finding more of.

If she would act like a law abiding citizen she would not get the bad press.

If the person who sits in the Oval Office these days behaved like a law abiding citizen, other citizens could get on with their lives instead of constantly having to point out the dangerous, deadly, and stupid things this unqualified tv reality host does and says in the name of the United States!

Suds, we know there are people who don't like Jane Fonda and why.
She has apologized for her poor judgement. What more can she do?
My question still is how come she is the only one so hated, detested, will never be forgiven because a good intention turned sour?
She wasn't the only one there! She wasn't the only famous person opposed to that war! She didn't start it or send troops over there!
Do you know why she is the only one, after all these years, that the scape goat?
I'm also wondering if you know, out of all the famous people who opposed that war, she is the only one who has been given a nasty Nick name? Do you know why?
Millions of people opposed that war, me being one of them and my brother was over there.
I wonder what this long living grudge aimed at one woman, and only one woman, still continues, when she was one of many, many protesters?
It's easier to despise an actress than your own government? She's an easy target?
She's one friggin woman for Pete sake! What's the deal with this?
