I had heartburn about 57 yrs when I was pregnant and none since nor the others: gerd, reflux. I've been taking higher doses of magnesium for probably close to 20 yrs....maybe this is my answer to this issue. So many are taking PPI drugs and with the recent Zantac pull from the shelves, omg...My son in law took so many of the PPI drugs and he lose his life at 55, he poo poo'd alternative medicine. My daughter went thru pylori stomach type surgery years ago and wondering WHY, she probably was NOT taking magnesium, she is now. The surgeon had her taking Zantac for years and she took herself of that one about 6 months ago. Chances are she never needed a surgery, doctors/surgeons do NOT go for the root of our issues. Grab the script pads. www.sepalika.com/gerd/magnesium-for-gerd/naturalife.org/nutrition/signs-of-a-magnesium-deficiencytherootcauseprotocol.com/is-magnesium-deficiency-a-gerd-and-acid-reflux-issue/ If you have these issues consider the magnesium issue and deficiency, also potassium is important.

I had Gerd for a while about 5 years ago, in my case it was do to a hiatal hernia. I took the PPI drug for 4 or 5 months, the hiatal hernia eventually healed to the point where the Gerd subsided.

Usually if I have too much chocolate milk I;ll suffer from heartburn. But other than that, I have no issues.

Just found out I have a hiatal hernia. Do take magnesium and potassium. I also have food allergies. Glad that I never really took Zantac.

Nkat I went thru the allergy tests years ago and all the drugs and it was when I got on the Pycnogenol and then the Grape Seed Extract in the 90's did I get rid of the drugs and docs for sure. Could be too, who knows, the antioxidants could be keeping me from reflux stuff. I told my story in the first post. I know of no hernia in my body. What causes these?

Muscle weakness and strain. Nkat I likely strained my hiatal opening while working out at the gym. Took several months to heal to the point where the Gerd no longer occurred.
