Lately I've been feeling a fatigue I have not felt for a while, so it hit me Potassium....1/2 avocado daily and what other potassium I get in foods daily, just isn't doing it. So I have some tabs left in a bottle of the 99mg potassium gluconate and am now taking 2 with snacks/meals daily. I've worked with potassium for years but have slipped. www.verywellhealth.com/health-benefits-of-potassium-4588613It's also good for heart palpitations and my friend has them even with the heart meds she's taking and she is taking 99mg with each meal and says her heart has calmed down. The RDA of potassium daily is 4700 for adults, 5100mg for women..so think about, are you getting enough potassium in the foods you are consuming daily. On heart palpitations: www.healthline.com/nutrition/potassium-deficiency-symptomsMost of you may be just fine and getting RDA of potassium and maybe not. And don't think a banana a day does it, it does not. Bananas are overrated...high carb, high sugar and little potassium. Also low sodium V8 has high potassium 800mg for about an 8 oz glass, I take it fairly often and dilute some spring water in the juice. I can't bulk up on V8 all the time.

Tomatoes and potatoes are good sources.

Here is a link to some Potassium rich foods that, in among themselves, contain all the necessary Potassium for daily intake. www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/325728.php
I, being on blood thinners (Coumadin), have to watch my potassium intake. Although I am not restricted from eating potassium rich foods, I must eat them in moderation.
This excerpt is taken from one of your links joymarty. I respectfully ask, "Do you read 'thoroughly' all the links you post?"

TheSource, of course I read all my information and I've been working with supplements for 25 yrs and take no blood thinner drugs and nothing more than BP and thyroid. Did you read the daily RDA for women is 5100mg, other adults 4700mg daily.
If a banana contains about 400mg of potassium to get close to the daily RDA one would need to consume over 10 daily. I don't eat one at all.
Yes, I read and work with everything I do. And what I print is what I work with FOR ME.
And there is plenty of information that says potassium does help normalize heart palps which I've never had. Plus it does help me with I'm feeling a low type fatigue. I've been taking BP meds for decades and I believe many BP meds cause fatigue. Plus at 81, I'm allowed to feel fatigue but don't enjoy it.

thesource: I had a friend who is now gone and she was so paranoid about using salt and was taking BP meds and would often pass out, sitting at the dinner table she did this a couple times in my company. 911 was called and they took her to hospital and every time they found her deficient and about empty in potassium. So they had to do infusions of potassium.
So you say talk to doctor, her doctor let her down sounds like to me. I can't rely on allopathic docs...thanks. She was a senior and not on the computer for her health and I thank my lucky stars I am. And so much support from health forums and friends I've kept from these groups.
