www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/the-women-in-line-to-hug-joe-biden/ar-AAGu107This reminds me of when women's lib got big. Even opening a door for a women was sexist.
In time most people let people be who they are, some people hold doors, some hug.
If you are go to be near a hugging person, it would be good to let them know your not a hugger.
If you do not like to be near others, that's ok, whats you, if after telling someone no and they still hug, there is a
there is a serious problem.

Biden is an empathetic and compassionate man. He takes the time to listen and shows interest in what someone has to say. Far cry from what we have now in the oval office! If a person does not want to be hugged, speak up and say so at that moment.

Even opening a door for a women was sexist. I held the door yesterday for a lady, she stiffly walked through without so much as a glance my way.
Too bad, but I'll hold the door again for the next woman, or man, it is a matter of courtesy and respect...some people don't get it.

I'm a hugger.
I'll hold the door for a man or a woman. No biggie.

I know the difference between a sincere, warm and friendly hug and a hug that is not any of those things.
I can't speak for all women but I'll go out on a limb and say most women also KNOW the difference.
Women's lib is NOT about being polite like holding a damn door. Most women also know this too. Womens Lib is about women being treated equal. Women being taken serious. Women being heard, respected, trusted, and not judged by her fashion choices, her age, her weight, or looks.
Biden seems to be a friendly guy who happens to be a hugger. I believe if his intentions were anything else he would not be so open and affectionate in public. It's who he is.
It's a friggin hug for cripes sake. If you don't like it tell him! He's not bragging about grabbing women like the pervert in the WH.
When I was a young women we had this saying. "Hugs not drugs!" Biden comes from the same generation. Cut him some slack.
What's next? Are politicians who hold babies all pervs?
Give me a break!
I hold the door for everybody too. It's polite. Nothing more.

To hug or not to hug. That poses a question. Hugging someone in line for no reason would most likely be frowned on. Meeting someone through introduction though,,, depends. Can you feel in their orra that they are receptive to hugs. If not then a simple handshake would do fine.
I hold doors open for females and males. 99.8% of the time I receive a thank you. The .2% are definetly not receptive to hugs.
I'm a huger. But I have never hugged someone in a line for no reason. In fact, I;ve never hugged anyone I didn't know. But, I have hugged or been hugged in the meeting of someone through introduction. Never awkward.

Can't imagine who I would stand in line to hug. Possibly, Michelle and Barack Obama.

To me Women's lib is symbolized, by same pay for same work, and being judged by the quality of their endeavors.
In the real world, I had to come to the realization, good looking men and women, have an edge.
