www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/u-s-women-s-soccer-team-win-2019-world-cup-n1027206"At the close of the game, some members of the crowd began chanting "equal pay" as a show of support for the U.S. Women's National Team, which is in a legal fight for their pay to match that of their male counterparts."The women's team gets paid less than the men's team and, as far as I can tell, the men have never won a World Cup. They won gold and silver in the Olympics.
However, this is the women's team 4th World Cup.

It is the same over here. Our sportswomen are doing much better that our men and being paid much less. It used to be said that the women couldn't attract the crowds but that has now been disproved The Australian women's rugby, AFL and cricket teams, not to mention the Matildas (soccer) have lots of fans.
