www.huffpost.com/entry/baby-names-questions-to-ask-when-choosing_l_5c51c08be4b00906b26fa386Thought this was a great article and wanted to pass it along. I have to repeat my name often when I am introduced to someone. It is a real pain in the neck. When my husband and I named our daughter and son, we were very careful to choose carefully. We followed the rules mentioned in the above article. However, an e-mail address was not part of things back in the 70's when they were born. Hope you enjoy the article even though your children are probably grown by now. Forgot to mention that when I worked in a school setting I was amused by some of the made-up names given to kids. I also recall the many girls named Precious and Angel and wondered how they would feel when they were adults applying for an important job.

One was named Summer and the other was named Winter.

An interesting and thought provoking article @rubyk. Even though ours here are all grown and gone, we did give back then some thought into naming our children.

When my dd was in the hospital for a surgery there was a little boy in there called Paris Francis. Some of these names that stars name their kids are beyond belief.

It's a better name than "Moonunit" or "Dweezle" as Frank Zappa had named his kids.

It's a better name than "Moonunit" or "Dweezle" as Frank Zappa had named his kids. That's true. But in Hollywood it is acceptable. In regular cities the name Paris Francis would be made fun of often.
