I was not directing my post to anyone personally. I was talking about the managers who might have to do the jobs the workers do everyday. I don't know for certain, but I don't think they'd be too happy about that for too long.
I'm not sure why you would even think I was talking about anyone personally.
I've been on both sides of the fence when I had a full time job. I was a shop stewart for our union and was made a manager a few years later.
Nope. I'm not talking about anyone personally. Just commenting on this thread.

Just commenting on this thread. Sorry if I misconstrued your post. I get what you're saying. Most managers couldn't do what a regular worker does. They are good at telling them what to do but can't actually do the job.

That's the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. When I was working I had managers from other departments that were sent to my department. They were clueless about how things were done. Also, too proud to ask for help. They figured all they needed to do was manage the workers, who really didn't need to be managed. They knew their job and got the work done just fine without somebody standing over them.

birdgal Did you ever watch "Undercover Boss?" What you stated above is how those CEO's act. How can anyone run a business, and not know how things are done, how to use the equipment, etc. It's mind boggling.

I've never watched that show. Just the name of the show turned me off. No thanks. Lol.
It doesn't seem to matter if the boss is clueless about what it takes to get the job done as long as the workers, those on the front line, know what they're doing.
The bosses have no problem taking credit for a job well done though.
Although, things could be different these days. I've been retired for quite a while. ;)

Getting ready to watch the KC Chiefs vs. the Buffalo Bills. Knew the game was scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., our time. Turned the tv on, early afternoon, to see what was on. Saw on the guide where the Chiefs/Bills game began at 2:00 p.m.!!! It was 1:45. So, thought I must have been wrong thinking the game was at 5:30. Well... watched the entire first half before realizing what we were watching was a replay of the Chiefs/Bills 2020 playoff game!!!! It was on NFL Network where they replay lots of past games. What a dunce!!!!! (The first half of that game was pretty good, though.) :>)

Whew! I'm finally feeling completely 'myself' again, the first day since my Moderna booster shot last Monday afternoon. I've had more side effects & longer-lasting ones than with my 2 Pfizer shots. Like before, I had a very sore arm and temporary fever for a day or so, but this time out I also had headache, fatigue, body aches, the worst one being chills that lasted most of the week. I spent a lot of time napping, and could only get warm when bundled up in bed with a heating pad. Anyway, all is well that ends well, and I'm grateful I'll have enhanced protection once my booster takes full effect in 2-3 weeks.

The booster hit me for a loop but only for a few days, not a week.

Worked on my tax returns yesterday after hubby went to work. Got them done and e-filed them. Email confirmed they were accepted. So glad they are out of the way.

Cold weather hitting us again this weekend. Have stacks of paper on the dining room table so I can do our taxes on Saturday. Don't like doing them, but e-filing is not that difficult. Much less expensive than paying someone to do it. We have two locations in town where senior citizens can have volunteers do their taxes for them. Knowing a couple of the "gents" who have done this for a few years, probably trust my rusty old mind to do at least as good a job as they do. :)

This is the LIST of supported income tax forms through this site. It was so very easy to use!
