Nkat, that's why I started buying the no mess kind. Like I said it's more expensive but there's no cleanup if I buy the "no mess, no millet" kind.
You are so right about the millet. It just sits on the ground. The mourning doves are the only ones who ever have some, and they don't come by that often. I by a small bag of millet just for them.
The sunflower seed shells are too messy for me. When you think about it almost half the bag are shells that end up on the ground. Why not get a whole bag of already shelled seeds that get eaten?

Why is it that when we make stupid mistakes... at this age... do we immediately wonder if it's the onset of dementia? And... what if it is???
I love my Keurig!! This is my second Keurig. Wore the first one out. It lasted, probably 5 years. This one has to be at least 5 years old. Every morning I make my coffee in the Keurig. Most every evening, I'll make another 16 oz. cup to drink before bedtime. We watch for pods on sale, but most of my Keurig coffee is from the regular ground coffee. I have a doodad that allows you to use ground coffee in lieu of the pods. It's less expensive that way.
Well, this morning, I discovered an interesting fact! If you don't have a cup under the Keurig, coffee is apt to flow all over EVERYTHING!! Yep! I loaded the grounds in the Keurig. Pushed the buttons for "Strong" and "16 oz." Then, hit the start button. Turned around to begin fixing my cereal and heard something behind me. I had failed to set my YETI under the Keurig spout!!! Coffee was running all over the counter, down the front of the cabinet, and beginning to hit the floor!!!! What a mess. Sometimes I worry myself.........

I shave and shower EVERY morning. As I head to the kitchen to make coffee and breakfast, I toss my dirty underwear, etc. in the laundry room hamper. A couple weeks ago, after making my coffee I went to dump the grounds in the kitchen trash. Oh, NO! There was my underwear, etc. in the trash! I had tossed them in the trash instead of the laundry hamper. Completely different room!!!! I'm losing it!!!! (My wife got a good laugh. Shouldn't have told her!!) :>)

That is funny, 2old. Good thing you discovered the clothes before you dumped the coffee grounds on top of them!

Where, oh where, have all the years gone? In hindsight, they seem to have passed all too quickly. I turned 78 years old yesterday, had a quietly pleasant day. My son and grandson brought supper, and we had a cozy visit with lots of chatter.

Always thought time would drag when "maturity"/retirement hit. Just the opposite. Days, weeks, months, years sail past. So glad you had a good visit with your son and grandson!!!!

All of that is so funny!
A Wood Chuck ate my Tranny line on my Subaru. I got a loaner while they fixed it.
So I walk out of the store with a key fob and go up to my loaner and could not for the life of me figure out why the vehicle is NOT unlocking.
Then I look at the vehicle. It was a different make vehicle but the same color as my loaner.
Duh. Thank goodness no one was watching.

Watched Rittenhouse take the stand yesterday in his defense for killing 2 people and injuring another. That boy should never have another firearm in his hands! He lied about being an EMT and firefighter. He supposedly broke down and cried, yet there were no tears. IMO, if I were sitting on the jury, I'd find him guilty.

17 year old carrying an illegally procured weapon into a large crowd of protesters. Ends up killing two and injuring one. Will walk free. The judge is acting like the kid's grandfather, not wanting anyone to speak bad about him. The prosecutor did not have the witnesses prepared and, even then, tried to argue with the judge. The judge asked the courtroom to applaud one of the defense witnesses, giving him credibility to the jury.
The prosecution is wanting to add some lesser charges to the jury's options, knowing it is looking unfavorable to get a guilty verdict on the severe charges. The defense is going to keep those lesser charges from being added. The defense knows that, thanks to the judge, the jury will either vote to acquit or end up in a hung jury. Why give some lesser options if the murderer will walk free on the more severe charges?
Justice will not prevail in this case. Had this been a black, Latino, Asian, Native American who walked the streets with an assault rifle and murdered two Caucasians, he might never have even made it to trial. Could well have been gunned down in the streets by the police, instead of waving at them as he left the area. Had it come to trial... with this judge... would have been found guilty of murder.
Sad, the state our criminal justice system is in.

Both the Rittenhouse case and the Georgia murder case are examples of vigilantism. People with no feelings for justice seek out someone to kill. People with no sworn duty as law enforcement officers commit murder. And... the murderers may well walk free in both cases. Three white vigilantes kill an innocent, unarmed black man in Georgia and there is only one non-white on the jury???!!!! An attorney for the defense... openly in court... asks that black pastors should not be allowed to sit with the victim's family???!!! Wow!
