Today I learned that Rebecca’s daughters said they think of me as second mother. They have implied this in past but both confirmed it verbally. Okay now I go cry

Today I learned that as some people grow older, they will not change old habits or old ways of thinking even though it would be for their own good health. Another problem is that they refuse to ask others for help. This is a sad situation.

Today I learned about "Lime disease, aka “Margarita dermatitis.”
A stray splash of lime juice can turn fun in the sun into a second-degree burn. A little known agent in limes can cause a burning rash that takes months, even years, to heal. The condition, called phytophotodermatitis, happens when a certain plant compound comes in contact with the skin, making that one area light sensitive. The reaction usually looks like a sunburn, or a poison ivy rash, with redness and sometimes swelling and blistering.

Today I learned the horseshoe crab has a total of 10 eyes to help it get around. So, if horseshoe crabs take a vote, the "eyes/ayes" have it? If someone asked a horseshoe crab to dot the eyes and cross the tees, how long would it take for him to dot all those eyes and get to the tees? Did you count all ten? Or, is this just an "eyestimate"? Back to my nap....

Today I learned that the length of the nap you take after eating Thanksgiving dinner is directly proportionate to the amount of food consumed.

I learned that... once again confirmed... the state of my sanity is and should be questioned. 32 degrees F with harsh north winds... wind chill of 26 when three of us went off #1 tee this morning. One quit after 9 holes. The other two of us finished our 18 holes. When we finished the temp had dropped to 28 degrees and the wind chill was down to 19. I won $1.25!!! All those quarters were well worth braving the freezing temps. At least thats what I thought and why the questioning of my sanity would be appropriate!
