Don't tell me you say fush and chups Dusty lol. Sux for six?? Sorry I can't recognise a SA accent. Sounds the same as I speak. Nah I don’t sound anything like a Kiwi in my opinion joybelle …actually I haven’t seen the lady as yet , who keeps asking me if I’m from NZ ……she runs / teaches line dancing …. I dare not ask where she is …..so ….so many involved in dancing have died since we last visited here . besides we’ve chatted on the phone and I’m sure you would have said I sound like a kiwi….. if I did …..I think it’s more of an accent from Broken Hill even tho it’s over 50 years since I left there . We were told last week the dancing carried on as usual no interruptions at all during lockdowns …..no wonder so many died of Covid in QLD

Should be back on here tomorrow, Thursday, morning. Gone Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Annual trip to Iowa, meeting relatives from Minnesota. Guys play golf for 3 days and gals shop and gossip about us guys for 3 days. Been doing this at least 15 years. It's about the same distance for both. Wife's brother & sister-in-law from here go with us. Meet two of the wife's cousins and their wives from Minnesota. Over the years, have always stayed at the same hotel. The hotel manager who has taken such good care of us over the years retired and we will deal with a new manager.

You do your own butchering? Do you have a walk-in type cooler where you can hang them? Do you sell part of the meat or freeze and eat it yourselves over a long period of time?

Yes we do our own butchering 2old. The walk in coolroom is just wonderful. It means we can butcher any time of the year. Paul has set up a refrigerated container that is full insulated into a cutting up room. It is not longer refrigerated because we don't have 3 phase power. It is illegal for home butchers to sell meat in Australia. To sell it must go through an abattoir and be stamped. We are allowed to give away and we give some to the kids. We have a lot of freezers.

Well it happed again while we staying in Coolangatta ….someone asked me if I was from New Zealand …. We arrived home safely yesterday after traveling for 2 days , only stayed at a motel one night DH did all the driving total 2.300 km , no wonder I was in bed at 6 pm We left a town ( Parks ) where the movie “The Dish” ..was mainly made, movie was . (about the tracking the first moon landing ) We were awake at 2.30 am …. so decided to get in the road. We were pretty lucky not to see any kangaroos ,think it may have been too cold and wet from them to come out of shelter, as a huge storm was forecast to hit area after mid morning but we missed most of it by leaving ….Very …early.

I’d ordered a pair of shoes while away that were normally priced at $250 but were on special for half puce ( I have to wear stable walking shoes most of the time due to my previous fractured leg ) anyway I’ll try to add a photo …..on opening the package I found one of the shoes have been worn…..it’s filthy ….im not accepting second hand shoes ..in fact it’s the second time I’ve recieved a second hand pair of shoes of the same brand …Ecco … Had to make photo small to be able to post …..soles of shoes creases in sides of shoes I’m not wearing second hand shoes

Yesterday we had terrible weather - strong gusting wind, rain and cold. One of the strips of the laser sheeting on the shed came off, so today Paul repaired that area with some corrugated iron from the stash. I had my heart in my mouth and kept an eagle eye on him. Anyway at 75 he can still do it. Sorry but my mind really wasn't on the games today. I hope to do better tomorrow.

It seems we never know what she'll toss at us tomorrow. Glad he's okay and the building damage repairable.
