This is akin to us Aussies turning on New Zealand. Unthinkable.
We may be adversaries on the rugby field, but everywhere else we are family.

Can you imagine anyone publicly declaring they could 'ruin' their long-time friend and neighbor? That seems to be Trump's specialty, for reasons that I could only attribute to some(as of yet) undiagnosed mental affliction. That said, I'm sure that Trump or some of Trump's allies in the business world are benefiting from the damage being done to the U.S.trade position.

I will say that Trump lacks social and diplomatic skills, and that's an understatement! Trump's presidency is nothing but a long sad story that we all suffer through.

Can you imagine anyone publicly declaring they could 'ruin' their long-time friend and neighbor? Yet, another diversion, using Canada this way. IF he'd follow through with his threat, it would hurt the U.S. too.

Trump slaps one of our allies in the face with his blustering? Surely not! Why, a President of the United States would never denigrate valued allies like Great Britain... Germany... Japan... South Korea... Taiwan... Mexico...…………………….

It's just a distraction. He will say or do anything to get the public's mind off the Mueller investigation. Sadly, many Americans are easily distracted by any bright, sparkly news item - the more outrageous the brighter the sparkle.
