Rudy Giuliani: Impeaching Trump would mean 'people's revolt' Source: Sky News President's lawyer claimed there was "no reason" for impeachment and says Trump has been "vindicated" by Michael Cohen's account. 20:03, UK, Thursday 23 August 2018 Donald Trump's lawyer has said "the American people would revolt" if the president was impeached. In an interview with Sky News Rudy Giuliani claimed there was "no reason" for an impeachment and called Mr Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen "a liar". "You could only impeach [Trump] for political reasons and the American people would revolt against that," he said. Cohen admitted on Tuesday to paying hush money to a porn actress and a model at the request of a "candidate" - revealed by his lawyer to be Donald Trump - in order to influence the 2016 US election campaign. "You could only impeach [Trump] for political reasons and the American people would revolt against that," he said. That's how Right wingers think, everything is "political" if it involves a GOPer being dealt with for wrong doing. That crooked Republican Congressman Duncan Hunter and his wife being indicted has been characterized by Hunter as being initiated by "the democrats"...blahblahblah. Imbeciles!

Giuliani is either way more stupid or senile than I thought, or he has been overdosing on The Trump Koolaid.

President's lawyer claimed there was "no reason" for impeachment I would prefer an indictment myself, and watching justice being carried out...

Rudy could be right about this. Trump has a pretty solid base of support that consists of about 40% of the adult population. And they all have guns. If he is removed from office things could get real ugly.

The point is you keep an anti-America criminal president in office to pacify his base??
Ye: We can let all the pushers out to keep all the junkies happy?
Lets not have laws just to keep all the criminals happy
It's very unlikely he will be pushed out of office.

Our miliary has bigger and better guns, plus there are many other gun carrying nuts opposed to Trump and his wackamoes, to keep them all busy. I'll just make sure I stock my kitchen with enough to tide me over till it's safe to go out into the streets again. Plus there are nearly as many independents as republicans who own guns, no one knows where they will align if things get crazy. Either way, the odds are with non-trumpettes.

It's very unlikely he will be pushed out of office. If by unlikely you mean the chances are zero, then I agree. It takes 67 votes in the senate to remove a President. That's not going to happen. The Democrats only have 49 seats. And they are going into this election having to defend 26 of them, while the Republicans are only defending 9. So it will take them doing extraordinarily well in this election just to keep their losses in the senate to 2-4 seats. My prediction is that they will lose 4 seats. To do that they will have to win 22 out of the 35 senate elections. A pretty decent performance.
Of course I suppose there are some fools that think some Republican senators might vote to remove him from office. For them I have the following message.
