I was going to add a link, but there are so many of them! Has anyone else noticed, and concerned about, all the food recalls during the last week or so? I know it happens occasionally, but this is going way too far. Is there anything safe to eat?!?

Ritz and Goldfish crackers among the growing list of related food recalls for possible salmonella contamination By Debra Goldschmidt, CNN Updated 3:29 PM ET, Tue July 24, 2018 Four types of Goldfish crackers include seasoning with whey powder Pepperidge Farm issued a recall for four varieties of its Goldfish crackers that were distributed nationwide. The recalled crackers include Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar, Flavor Blasted Sour Cream & Onion, Goldfish Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar and Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel. Whey powder is an ingredient in a seasoning "applied to" these items, according to the company. Ritz crackers Ritz bits cheese crackers Ritz bits cheese crackers Mondelēz Global LLC recalled certain Ritz Cracker Sandwiches and other Ritz Bits products because they contain whey powder that has been recalled for possible salmonella contamination. I don't know where you're located, Just a few miles south of Pittsburgh.
I don't buy the goldfish. The snack food of choice in our house is pretzels. None of the foods you listed are ever on our shopping lists.

Yes I have noticed many... And yes,, there are snacks safe to eat.. Homemade snacks. I;m getting to the point of not trusting any packaged snacks at any time.

I've noticed... and not just these in the past week. It seems to be an issue occurring more and more often. Not too long ago it was some kind of vegetable trays and pre-cut watermelon. Before that it was some brand of romaine lettuce. It seems every couple of weeks it's something new.

I don't know if food contamination has become more prevalent, or if it is just being detected better.
I think for years people got sick, and just thought it was "a touch of the flu" or some such.

That could be quite true.

I have four very good friends that live near you that I manage to visit from time to time. I’m originally from Charleroi. (Fallowfield Township) I worked in Bethel/South Park for many years so I’m quite familiar with the area(s) around you.

I checked my new box of Ritz and its not on the list. Looks like its more of the sandwiches than the original crackers. Our local ABC station has a list on their website showing the affected ones with upc codes and other info.
