The question is whether it snapped it before or after he lost his footing. Seriously though, what a moron to climb over a railing at the edge of the Canyon...a railing that's there to keep you from falling 500' to your death.

I like climbing.... I have climbed Seneca Rocks in West Virginia and other challenging climbs but to step out over the edge of a 500 foot drop?!?!?!? Insane!!!!

I hear it wasn't the fall that killed him.
It was the sudden stop.

I wonder what he thought about on the way down?
Probably hoping the selfie was going to post successfully on Snapchat or Instagram.

Just long enough to think: "Oh sh*******************t. This is gonna leave a mark."

Full disclosure, that came from an old joke I heard back in the day about Art Linkletter's daughter when she took a header out of a 6th story window while high on LSD. A college professor told it to us in class and he did a really good job of telling it because we didn't even realize it was a joke when he said "It wasn't the fall that killed her". We were all expecting him to say it had something to do with the drugs in her system. But then he hit us with the punch line. "It was the sudden stop". Yeah, I know, it's kind of a sick joke.
Dude would probably been fired if he told it today. But that was before PC.

But I just checked and apparently the LSD part was a myth. So I've been buying into what was apprently a lie for almost 50 years. Just goes to show ya, ya can't believe everything ya hear.
