This is why the rescue may take some time. None of the boys can swim, much less stay calm under water in complete darkness to make their way out. Teaching them to dive is probably impossible and it may be necessary to wait until the water level in the cave is sufficiently lowered. The trouble is that more rain will compound the problem. www.abc.net.au/news/2018-07-03/thailand-cave-what-happens-now/9934088

I watched this on the news. Glad to hear they were all alive. Hopefully they will get them out sooner than later.

I was glad to see they had been found. I do hope they can get them out of there soon. I read that they have sent food and water down to them -- I don't know how they did that, though.

I wonder what kind of walk they went on going 3 miles into a cave? What was that coach thinking?

I was wondering if they can drill down to them and get them out like they did those trapped miners not too long ago. I haven't seen anything about their considering that approach, but maybe I missed it.

In the U. S., spelunking (cave exploration) is considered a dangerous sport even for experienced and well-equipped adults. Isn't it considered the same in Thailand? I've not heard how much experience the coach had. Has anyone else?

Four boys have been brought out as of this posting and another two are about to emerge. They are being examined in a field hospital before being transported to hospital.
Everything seems to be going to plan and is ahead of time.
