(not too familiar with the term, does it mean false info that's for the purpose of riling people up?
sorry I have a lot going on, not much free time, but noticed this in today's 'trending' section and various news sites):
House Republicans on Thursday passed legislation that would require Americans ages 18 through 59 to either work part time or spend 20 hours a week in workforce training to receive food stamps.
I'd like to know what they're trying to accomplish with these stories- to get more backup/support from individuals/voters who don't know the facts?
My personal knowledge of this subject goes back 18 years ago- a young married couple with small child, the wife was pregnant, could not receive f.s. if the wife didn't go out to work and put the toddler in daycare.
State after state has been putting in this requirement in recent years, and the state where I currently reside has had '30 hours of work per week or no food stamps' in place as far back as I know. So who are they trying to fool with these stories?

The news item is not fake, refers to the Farm Bill. Fake news IS designed to rile people up, cause hate and division. Fake news usually takes a bit of truth and distorts that truth with falsehoods and slanted, non-factual commentary.
