Albert Einstein Was not always right. He was wrong about Quantum mechanics. He was a pacifist at the time of world war II. Smart does not equate with being right. But you are smart enough to know that?
Smart people have Smarter self-delusions?

Absolutely. I'm smart enough to know I made a HUGE mistake when I married my ex wife.
As for Einstein, I think he's way over rated. A lot of his theories are already starting to look like they are wrong.
My all time favorite genius was Yogi Berra.
"If you come to a fork in the road, take it"
Now that has got to be one of the most profound statements ever made by a human being.

A little too much St. Patrick's Day cheer going on here Toby? I haven't had an alcoholic drink in months. But even if I was three sheets to the wind I would be able to get the best of you at anything.

Well.. You haven't been able to so far... why would that change.. drunk or sober... Face it I'm better at this than you are... Why? Because you make me laugh with your comments... and I love to laugh...particularly at your expense.. See..your problem is you think you have to go for the jugular... the big kill.. I on the other hand sit back and wait.. and when I stick the tiny barb in you... I enjoy giving it a little twist... it makes you insane... hahaha

I am surrounded by fools who can not see what I see. It is my lot in life and I have known it from a very early age and accept it. It was my misfortune to be born a borderline genius. With an IQ of 140 I barely make it into the genius category. That puts me in limbo. In most areas of life such as on this forum, I am far smarter than everyone else and have to endure the frustration of being surrounded by fools. However when it comes to being a Major League player like say Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Issac Newton and the like, I'm totally out classed. Those Dudes could think circles around me, just like I can think circles around all of you.
I am the Buster Narum of the genius class. You probably never heard of Buster Narum but he actually pitched in the Major leagues.
Buster Narum was the son of my pre-school teacher, Mrs. Narum. And she was very proud of her boy. Buster was about 7 years older than me and he made quite a name for himself in my hometown of Clearwater Florida. Like Bruce Springsteen says in the song "Glory Days" "He was a big baseball player back in high school. He could throw that speedball by you make you look like a fool"
But when he got up to The Show, he was just another schmuck compiling a 14-27 over five lackluster seasons before being sent back to the bush leagues. After a couple of mediocre seasons in the bush leagues Buster got cut and had to go back to Clearwater Florida and get himself a real job.

So that's me. Too smart for this forum, but not smart enough to be a Big League Player. It's a cross I have to bear and I totally understand and accept it. Thank you, you made my day.

My score as a child on a Stanford-Binet test was 135+ because that was as high as the group test could differentiate. I was good at doing these tests which are only able to assess mathematical/logical and linguistic aptitudes. At other skills, which were never tested in the same way, I was pretty crap - couldn't throw or catch a ball, run or jump well and after 9 years of piano lessons I still couldn't play a pleasing tune.
Being able to read complex or technological texts does not make one wise and but years of interacting with a broad spectrum of humanity and learning from them may result in wisdom, which is much more valuable than mere knowledge or intelligence.

Good morning to all- Of all the abstract terms that are misused and misunderstood, "genius" is right there at the top. "Genius" is not a number from an IQ test. There's no IQ test that I am aware of- and I have given most of them to lots of students in the course of my career- that is accurate to measure very high intelligence. What it comes down to is that people who are truly very intelligent are smarter than the test, and the test doesn't measure their abilities very well at all. So when I hear someone claim to be a "genius" based on the results of an IQ test, I am very skeptical of that person's claim. And given the claims of tRump that he is a "very stable genius"- I'm not sure I really want to be a genius if he's an example of what a genius is. And I'd be very, very careful of thinking I was so much smarter than everyone else around me. Self-delusion is a very dangerous thing. Good morning to all- Ed

Now back on topic. Any of you Democratic Party partisan hacks want to defend your party for voting for interests of the Bankers instead of the people they are supposed to represent?
C'mon. Let's hear those excuses.

Good morning to all- Well, Toby, once again I see you misuse an abstract term- "moron". That's a word that to educated people means nothing. And if you happen to be referring to me, personally- I have no idea what my tested IQ might be- since I was trained to administer the tests, any score I might get on taking an IQ test would be invalid. And besides, I really don't want to know my tested IQ. If it was low, I'd be depressed because I would assume I was not smart. If it was high, I'd be depressed because if I'm so smart, why ain't I rich? These abstract terms are usually originally intended for very specific usage, and any attempt to apply abstract terms to general situationis not advisable. good morning to all- Ed

Let's hear those excuses. You continue to want to fight.. Who cares? 17 Dems voted for the Bill.. and I even posted how much money each got from Wall Street. So what's the debate here? Seems you are only interested in touting your agenda and self proclaimed superior intelligence, while putting others down for not agreeing with you. Here's a clue for you.. If someone needs to tell everyone how smart they are..........................they aren't

If someone needs to tell everyone how smart they are..........................they aren't It's just frustrating for me to see how deluded you are. Thinking that the Democrats are your friends. And then just blowing it off when they knife you in the back at the behest of their corporate donors. But you don't want to deal with that fact. You just let them get away with it by supporting the corporate tools like Hillary Clinton that they promote instead of the candidates like Bernie Sanders that actually represent the people. I just don't understand how you all can be so obtuse.

STILL not voting for Sanders.... and who are YOU to call anyone else "deluded" or "obtuse"? Don't think Democrats will make the same mistake by letting your kind divide us again... go away.
