I had a fairly productive day.
First was an appointment with my Family Doctor, which went well. She tested my feet sensations with a sharp needle gadget, found all well in that regard. My Glumetza is being increased because my AIC blood sugar measurements were gradually increasing over the last year.
After that, I got my first haircut since last July. It turned out good, a very short 'pixie' cut. It feels great to have that wild mane (which reached my shoulders) removed before the summer heat sets in!
Then I went to a grocery store (a rare occurrence for me these past few years) and got a box of this season's local strawberries and a package of tea biscuits from their bakery. Yum!
All in all, a fine day!

Golf as usual this morning. Home for a bite of lunch. Then to T-Mobile to change cell and internet service. Been with AT&T for 20 years with our cell phones. During that time, we had Direct TV, U-Verse internet for about 5 years. So... good AT&T customers for a long time. Costs kept increasing, so we dropped DTV and U-Verse last December. Went to Cox internet and just doing streaming for tv. Cox internet gave some trouble and AT&T took a jump on their cell service. So...
Now with T-Mobile for both cells and for internet. Our cell plan with T-Mobile inclueds Netflix. We had been paying AT&T for cells, Netflix for their service, and Cox for internet. Now, all is combined with T-Mobile. Added more data. Added better phone protection. Got new phones included free. And... lowered our monthly cost over $50.00!! T-Mobile has a terrific plan for "over 50" folks. Have some friends who have switched to T-Mobile and are quite satisfied with the service. Guess we'll see.

Comcast is the cable. nkat We dumped our landline about 5 or 6 years ago. No one called us on it except sales people, spammers, etc. All our friends and relatives called us on our cell phones. We haven't missed the landline. Took a little arm twisting to get us to cut cable and go totally streaming. Now that we've been there since December we wonder why we didn't do it sooner!!! We get all our local channels on YouTube TV. No cost because we "pirate" our daughter's. We have Netflix, HBO Max, Prime Video, and Apple+ TV. The Netflix is ours. YouTube TV, Apple TV, and HBO Max one of the daughter's. Prime is the other daughter's. Honestly, the only thing we watch is the regular channels on YouTube TV and our Netflix. Too much to weed through to decide what to watch.

My cell phone is off. Just have It for emergencies. I still have not downloaded Netflix from my dd. My dh always watches the history channel. Should also download HBO Max and Disney from them. My dh is still working. He will never retire but drop over dead working. Remember dh has a business. And customers call on the home phone. He does not want to be interrupted at work with a cell phone. Dd bought him a track phone.he lost it and we believe it is in my dd’s footer. He never told us so that we could call it.

I wouldn't get rid of my landline either. I worked for the phone company for 30 years taking money out of pay phones. I haven't seen a pay phone in a long time. I wonder if they're still out there. There must be some, right? I'm sure not everybody has a cell phone.

I just have a landline. I'm retired & home most of the time, so don't wish to incur the cost of a cell phone I'd hardly ever use. Pay phones are a rarity these days, but there's one in my local Walmart and in the two major grocery stores in my area.

Busy doing yard work today. Took the mower for a walk, ran the weed eater, watered my garden plants, trimmed some bushes.

Busy doing yard work today. Took the mower for a walk, ran the weed eater, watered my garden plants, trimmed some bushes. You have waaaaay too much energy!! Makes me realize how lazy I am!! Wife and I picked up our daughter, who lives here in town, about 4 yesterday afternoon. Met our other daughter and her family in the larger community, about 45 minutes to our east. They live 45 minutes east of there so is centrally located for both. Met at a Red Robin restaurant for supper. East daughter and her husband brought their oldest son and his new girlfriend so she could meet us.... and us meet her. Fun get-together. Three of the more local grandkids are in VERY serious relationships. Sheesh! Not really ready to be a great grandfather!! That sounds sooooo old!!!!

Four days in Iowa last week. Met Minnesota relatives there. It's about the same distance for both of us. While there, more issues with our golf course superintendent. Spent quite a while on the phone. Returned and began putting the process in place to terminate him. Final decision from the Board last night. Now, been busy with getting ready for a "surprise" exit interview... and interviewing candidates for filling the position. I thought I was retired!!!!!
COVID hitting our community pretty hard. Everybody masking up again.

I did laundry early this morning. Have no particular plans for the rest of the day, other than minor household chores.
