Broke records dating back to 1916, Tuesday, with a high temp of 91 degrees F. Yesterday, Wednesday, we played golf with a mix of sleet and snow. Wind chills were in the 20's all morning. At least the storms Tuesday night missed us. Still need rain, though. 60's today and tomorrow. We're at 27 degrees this morning. People with plants/flowers beginning to think it's Spring will have some damage from the freeze.

I'm getting tired of the fluctuating weather. It started snowing at 1PM and is suppose to continue until sometime tomorrow. Suppose to see 6 inches plus.

80's today. Beautiful day... except for the wind. Strong storms predicted for late Friday. Hail, heavy rain, possible tornado or two.
Was visiting with another "old codger" about my age today. He, too, cannot remember the winds we have had this year. It's almost like 30 mph sustained winds are a norm. 40 to 45 mph we just shake our head and act like it's not that uncommon. Something ain't right!!! Our weather is really changing.

www.kansas.com/news/weather/tornado/article260919247.htmlAndover got hit pretty hard. No loss of life. Andover was totally wipe off the map by an EF5 tornado 33 years ago... almost to the day. Andover is about 90 miles south of us. Herington had some damage from a small tornado. We lived in Herington from 1974 to 1985. 40 miles southwest of us. A farm home was destroyed about 15 miles south east. No one hurt. It was out in the country so no other residences in the area. Chapman had grapefruit size hail. Most everything either slipped past us on the west or the east. The good news is the we got a little over an inch of rain. So dry. The rain was a real blessing. Thanks for asking!!!!!

Broke record high temp for this day, yesterday. "Only" got to 95, today, with still high humidity. Two more days of this heat and then we're supposed to drop back to the upper 70's and low 80's for highs. Headed to a granddaughter's choral program at the high school this evening. Will be a sweaty mess just getting from the school parking lot to inside the building!

Had almost three days of nice, easy rain. Just over 3" total, but all soaked in due to how slow and easy it came down. Really needed it.
The next few days are to be hot, humid, and dry.
