My beef with the Catholic religion.....

I was raised strict catholic and went to a catholic school for 3rd, 4th and 6th grade (no idea why we skipped a year). The nuns and the priest had just come over from Ireland and our school was new. Anything you've heard about how strict Irish nuns were back then is true (early 60's). I was scared to death half the time. The church taught me to fear burning in hell forever and I believe that is a bit too much for a 7 year old to be worrying about.

Funny, but I loved all the rituals in the church. By the time I was about 14 though I began to believe it was all BS. My parents forced us to go to weekly catechism class and to church until we left home.

I swore when I had kids I'd never force them to go to church and I didn't.  I told them the options regarding different religions or no religion.  

So I call myself a recovering/recovered catholic. My husband is catholic but not at all a strict catholic. I sometimes go with him to church and here in Thailand I almost always go with him because there are very nice people there and I love the choir.

Of the 4 kids in my family my sister is still very catholic, one brother sometimes goes to church, the other brother is atheist and I'm unlabeled but a sort of Buddhist Pagan mix.

    He really seems to hate women, doesn't he?

Feminists...go figure....

Men in the democrat party are now pushing back against the "guilty until proven innocent" of the feminists, saying Franken should not of resigned and let the investigation go through the process.

Ruby suggests that unless women are feminists, they aren't smart.

I don't hate women, I just don't like feminists destroying men's lives that have been life long defenders of the liberal cause, in order to advance feminism in the democrat party.

Franken and Conyers are not rapists, or pedophiles, they are decent men. Feminists are proving time and again, that they are holier than thous, willing to convict without trial. Feminists are no different than right wing evangelicals that push their ideology on everyone, thinking they are morally superior.

I admit I have some resentment of feminists, as I was raised by one that called my dad a piece of sh*t, and always said I was just like him. My mom's third husband has his wedding ring through his nose....so pitiful. He's the servant, she's the queen.

Humans are the only animal that has sexual problems, because their morality and egos interferes. The male is naturally programmed to spread his seed. The female is programmed to find security....it's always been with the male until feminism. Now they attempt to shame men into submission. Lilith is taking over.....

It's criminal that some men believe sexual assault is a "natural desire."

I have relatives that are men and friends that are men and they don't think like that! They think assaulting someone is criminal - not natural. I do know one man who thinks it's 'natural' to beat his wife, abuse his grandchildren, and sexually assault girls and women. Other men I know don't think his behavior is natural either.

Oh, so those poor widdle men are so bent out of shape they'll never, ever vote for a woman? Sounds familiar. Just like the people that would never, ever vote for a Black (not the word they used) man for president! That's okay. There are enough sensible men and women that will vote for the right person male or female.

Religion is a perfect example of Misogyny. In almost every religion (if not all), women are to be subservient to men. And that is why Lilith rebelled and was turned into a demon.

I DO NOT subscribe to that, I believe in equality. And I resent female domination, same as women resent male domination.

I've been demonized on this thread because I told the truth....men's natural instinct is to SPREAD THEIR SEED. Women's natural instinct is security....especially as a mother. 

Looking at most other plants and animals....the males spread the seeds. There are a few species that mate for life, but most don't. And humans are animals. Unlike the other animals, our developed brain causes a lot of guilt, envy, and jealousy. 

I find it amusing that most feminists are atheists, yet they push morality on men. These women usually can't get laid, or just hate sex, or have a cuckold relationship with a spineless man. I witnessed my aunt stab my uncle with a butcher knife, because he was impotent. She carved out a two pound steak of muscle, and came within a quarter inch of his lung. I was the one that had to call the cops. They stayed together for another 30 years before they died a year apart from each other.

My mother was married three times before she found one that was subservient to her....they've been married almost 50 years now. I doubt they've had sex except for the two times they were trying to have kids....they had one, the other was a miscarriage. She just had ovarian cancer, and had all her lady bits removed. You know what they say, "Use it or lose it."


Mom went through Chemo and they thought they got rid of the cancer. But now it's shown up somewhere else. She finds out on Thursday where. She's almost 83 now...he's not quite nine years older than me. And he's had a triple bypass, and has diabetes. I keep telling her that she's gonna get reincarnated to learn the lessons she failed to learn. But she swears that Jesus won't make her do that.  Have ya'll heard about Shrub Jr. dying and going up to heaven and meeting St. Peter at the pearly gates?
