Went to get blood drawn this morning. Strangest thing, the tech handed me papers as usual, permission to draw privacy forms ETC. Among these was a gender and sexuality questionnaire. Wanted to know whether I considered myself heterosexual, homosexual or other. Then was I transgendered or not? and finally, does the gender assigned at birth and listed on my birth certificate reflect my orientation accurately. I articulated my objections and marked the paper, "refuse to answer, due to it not being anyone's business!" Tech was surprised and said that they really were pushing for compliance. I asked if they were refusing service, she said no, and proceeded with the draw. Anyone else run across this?

Wow, never heard of such a thing nor was ever subjected to that line of questioning openly or on a form. I would have responded the same way you did if asked for such information.
Did she explain why they needed that information?

Never heard of such a thing, and I agree with your response, robusta.

Back in the late '70s(1970s) I applied for admission at a local community college to take a welding class. The application form asked if I was:
1.Male 2.Female 3.Other
