South Dakota tribe bans governor from reservation over US-Mexico border remarks
I wish Massachusetts could ban trump from here.

During COVID, SD Gov and one of the tribes got into a fight. Tribe closed down a State highway to keep people out of their reservation land in hopes to prevent an outbreak. IIRC, the tribe won that one.
They've also had squabbles over Mt. Rushmore land.
The tribes have every right to ban who they want from their reservation land. Noem thinks she's the Queen and has province over all of SD. She doesn't and that hurts her ego. I had two projects in SD during my career. Our firm had numerous projects with the tribes. Always a very good relationship. One just needs to respect their land and independence from State governance.
